SLAM-Global Event Last Night in London Attended by Mrs Samura Kamara, Mama Kadie Kuyateh, Topped by Dr Fullah’s Speech & Others
Quick Summary
The community event last night in London by SLAM-Global was an enjoyable historic get-together attended by patriotic Sierra Leoneans and friends.
It was a quality night as the community event organised by the Sierra Leone Advocacy Movement SLAM-Global turned out to be entertaining, educative, informative, dotted with interpersonal networking with old and new friends, brothers and sisters. (Photo: Some SLAM officials last night).
Danceable and singable African music filled the air, much to the satisfaction of all the revellers present. Football fanatics and less interested footy fans watched the Champions League final live between Arsenal and PSG in Budapest, with the Gunners losing on penalties.
Bravo to SLAM-Global organisers, whose meticulous skills captivated so many important Sierra Leoneans at the community event. The biggest scoop of the night was the presence of the First Lady-in-waiting, Mrs Elizabeth Betty Samura Kamara. (Photos: Mrs Samura Kamara, centre).

Her sudden appearance at the SLAM-Global event was the crown jewel that made the night special for everyone present. The fitting announcement by the MCs Imran T and Mr Winston Ojukutu Macauley alerted the revellers that Mrs Samura Kamara was among the crowd.
Naturally, the simple and accommodating First Lady in-waiting was warmly greeted and gently embraced by many admirers at intervals, and historic personal pictures were taken with the ever-smiling Mrs Samura Kamara humbly enjoying the admiration.
Among other prominent attendees were Mama Kadie Kuyateh, the veteran former APC Women’s astute leader in the UK, who eventually sat with Mrs Betty Samura Kamara most of the night, melting into the crowd last night like any ordinary Sierra Leoneans. (Photos: Imran T & Ojukutu).

Moreover, important speeches were made by key figures, including the Director General of SLAM-Global, Dr Alfred Venod Fullah, who touched on SLAM’s core values, aims, and objectives since its formation two years ago.
Other key personalities who addressed the audience last night on different topics included top SLAM officials led by Deputy Director Mr Hassan Turay, Dr Mohamed Sesay, Madam Zainab O, and Mr Mohamed Bah, and others.
Popular social media blogger and entrepreneur Mr Regie Cole, based in the UK, also thrilled the audience with his business acumen. Mr Regie Cole made an inspirational speech to educate Sierra Leoneans on how to set up successful millionaire businesses. At the community event last night in London, various speakers made vital contributions, including significant educational subjects such as performing CPR and first aid on the sick and keeping the victim alive until the ambulance arrives.
The historic night ended with an enjoyable raffle draw, and guess what, the table occupied by the First Lady won one of the prizes. It was an exciting win. The great Imran T rightly commented, “Clear sign that electoral justice has won,” amid jubilation.
Cash donations and pledges were made. Mr Ojukutu Macauley Jr. cleverly urged everyone present to give £10 each. More donations are still needed to help SLAM-Global achieve its objectives in fighting human rights violations and assisting the less privileged, etc. (Photo: Marie H, Patricia K).

There was, of course, time for boogie time with sweet music pumped into the air by popular DJ Med. Muslim, Christian, and Buddhist prayers greeted the opening event. The SLAM-Global event Chief Organiser, Mrs Fatima Sessay, did the Buddha prayer.
It is important to note that Europe was represented last night by the presence of an APC heavyweight and electoral justice fighter from Holland, Madam Mariama Kamara, popularly known as Marie H. Other groups, like Ladies@Work, were represented by CEO Madam Mariatu Sesay.
