Sierra Leoneans Resident in Lebanon Killed in War But Bio Does Not Care as Other African Nations Evacuate their Citizens

Quick Summary

The carelessness of the failed and corrupt SLPP regime led by Julius Maada Bio has been laid bare again as the war in the Middle East rages on.

Again, the illegal Sierra Leone President Maada Bio has been exposed to his total lack of compassion and sympathy for his people. Today, Maada Bio is snubbing his citizens in faraway Lebanon where the war is escalating in the Middle East. The explosions in Lebanon are still going on and the latest victims of the war are innocent Sierra Leoneans resident in Lebanon and others facing hardship in Middle East countries.

As the missiles are fired from Iran into Israeli, the Israelis are also firing explosions into Lebanon to target Hezbollah officials. All this fighting is happening while Israel is also engaged in Gaza fighting Hamas, where the war has escalated for months now, costing thousands of lives and the destruction of properties. The latest reports say Sierra Leoneans, mostly ladies working there, have lost their lives in Lebanon. It is like a ghost town and many people are displaced.

Yet, the useless SLPP government officials in Sierra Leone are turning blind eyes on the plights of our sisters and brothers in the Middle East. While other sober-minded governments in Africa and the world have made urgent arrangements to charter planes to fly their respective citizens from the Middle East to safety, the careless Sierra Leone regime does not care for its suffering people.

Recent audios released from our distraught sisters and brothers in Lebanon clearly explained the dangerous situations these compatriots have found themselves in. The confirmation of Sierra Leone’s deaths in Lebanon could be heard from the frightened and helpless voices of compatriots. It saddens compatriots to know that the useless Maada Bio is only interested in travelling around the world without any benefits for the people. Today, the war is escalating in the Middle East. As a result, appeals for help for the impoverished Sierra Leoneans caught in the middle of this ongoing war have spurred social media activists inside and outside Sierra Leone to speak out. Up to press time, there are no words or press statements from the incompetent Sierra Leone Embassies in the Middle East to give consular support to its people.

President Julius Maada Bio Abandoned Sierra Leoneans in Lebanon: APC Party Must Execute Swift Intervention Plan

By Raymond Alieu Kamara, Omega Nation Front

In recent weeks, the escalating conflict between Israel and Lebanon, a situation that has dire implications not only for the Middle East but also for vulnerable populations far beyond its borders, has captivated the world. Among those affected are Sierra Leoneans who sought better opportunities in Lebanon, fleeing the crippling chronic poverty, heinous atrocities, and limited prospects in their home country. As the situation deteriorates, it has become increasingly clear that the Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) under President Julius Maada Bio has failed to protect its citizens abroad. In this critical moment, the All People’s Congress (APC) party must step up as a responsible opposition, advocating for the safety and well-being of Sierra Leoneans caught in this crisis.

The Plight of Sierra Leoneans in Lebanon – For many Sierra Leoneans, the journey to Lebanon was a desperate attempt to escape the harsh realities of life back home. With a history marked by bad governance, harmful violent response, killings, unlawful incarceration, political instability, economic instability, and high unemployment rates, many individuals have turned to overseas employment as a means of survival. Unfortunately, the promise of a better life has turned into a nightmare for many, particularly in light of the recent conflict.

Reports indicate that Sierra Leoneans in Lebanon are facing dire circumstances as violence escalates. Many are trapped in areas of conflict, unable to return home due to the ongoing hostilities. The lack of a robust response from the SLPP government has left these citizens feeling abandoned and vulnerable. The government’s silence and inaction in the face of this humanitarian crisis raise serious questions about its commitment to the welfare of its citizens abroad.

The Role of the SLPP Government – The SLPP government, led by President Maada Bio, has been criticized for its lack of proactive measures to ensure the safety of Sierra Leoneans in Lebanon. While the government has made efforts to engage with international partners on various issues, the plight of its citizens in Lebanon has not received the attention it deserves. The absence of a clear evacuation plan or support system for those stranded in conflict zones is a glaring oversight.

Moreover, the government’s failure to communicate effectively with the families of those affected has exacerbated the situation. Many families back home are left in the dark, anxiously awaiting news of their loved ones. This lack of transparency and support from the government has led to feelings of despair and helplessness among the families of Sierra Leoneans in Lebanon.

The APC’s Responsibility as an Opposition – In times of crisis, the role of the opposition is crucial. The APC party must rise to the occasion and advocate for the rights and safety of Sierra Leoneans abroad. This is not merely a political obligation; it is a moral imperative. The APC should leverage its position to pressure the government to take immediate action to protect its citizens in Lebanon.

One of the first steps the APC can take is to call for an emergency session of Parliament to address the situation. This session should focus on developing a comprehensive plan to assist Sierra Leoneans in Lebanon, including evacuation strategies, financial support for those in need, and communication channels to keep families informed. By taking a proactive stance, the APC can demonstrate its commitment to the welfare of Sierra Leoneans, regardless of political affiliation.

Building International Alliances – The APC should also seek to build alliances with international organizations* and NGOs that specialize in humanitarian aid. By collaborating with these entities, the party can amplify its efforts to u Sierra Leoneans in Lebanon. This could include advocating for safe passage for those wishing to return home, as well as securing resources to support those who remain in Lebanon.

Furthermore, the APC can use its platform to raise awareness about the plight of Sierra Leoneans in Lebanon on international stages. By bringing attention to this issue, the party can mobilize support from the global community, encouraging other nations and organizations to assist in the evacuation and support of Sierra Leoneans caught in the conflict.

A Call to Action – The situation in Lebanon is a stark reminder of the vulnerabilities faced by Sierra Leoneans seeking better lives abroad. The SLPP government’s failure to act decisively in this crisis is a betrayal of its citizens. However, the APC has an opportunity to step into the breach, advocating for the safety and well-being of Sierra Leoneans in Lebanon. As the conflict continues to unfold, the APC must prioritize the lives of its citizens over political rivalry. This is a moment for unity, compassion, and action.

The party should mobilize its resources, engage with the international community, and demand accountability from the government. By doing so, the APC can not only save lives but also restore faith in the political system, demonstrating that the welfare of the people transcends partisan politics. The ongoing conflict in Lebanon has put the lives of many Sierra Leoneans at risk, and the response from the SLPP government has been woefully inadequate.

In this critical moment, the APC must rise to the occasion, advocating for the safety and well-being of its citizens. By taking decisive action, the APC can play a pivotal role in ensuring that Sierra Leoneans in Lebanon are not left to fend for themselves in the face of adversity. The time for action is now lives depend on it. Over and Out! END. Courtesy: Omega Salone.

UN Appearance Means Zero; The Bios’ Illegality Remains at the UN; Brutes Like Gaddafi Spoke at the UN; Next Minute He was Killed; Sierra Leoneans, Don’t Worry

The United Nations is designed to always allow every Jack and Jill in its midst; dictators, tyrants, despots, killers, evil forces, often attend, but their hatred & illegitimacy still remain. Bloodthirsty and illegal President Julius Maada Bio and his mob-justice wife, Fatima Jabbe Bio, are classic examples of dictators known to member states of the United Nations and the world. But as the UN never bans tyrants, the Bios can still appear, but it makes no difference at all. Honest history has taught us one salient fact about attendees at the United Nations General Assembly. Not everyone who attends or addresses the UN General Assembly summit is loved or recognised as legitimate, democratic or a decent human being. Despite the immense freedom to attend the UN, many world leaders are reluctant to appear at the UN summit in New York for security reasons, mainly. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda, President Vladimir Putin, and Kim Jong-Un of North Korea are examples.

Marathon Race Ends Soon: New ECOWAS President General Diop from Senegal Takes Over from Gambian Traitor Touray; Real Work Began Yesterday

The real work of the newly refreshed Economic Community of West African States ECOWAS has commenced following the official handing over yesterday in Abuja. It was a milestone for West Africans and the world yesterday to witness the handover of power from the Gambian traitor, Dr Omar Alieu Touray, to General Birame Diop at the new ECOWAS Commission Headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria. The Commission held the formal welcome and send-off ceremony for incoming and outgoing statutory appointees and Heads of ECOWAS Institutions, following the completion of the former leadership’s four-year tenure. It was during the historic event that General Birame DIOP of Senegal officially assumed office as the new President of the ECOWAS Commission, amid applause, succeeding Dr Omar Alieu Touray of The Gambia. Since President Bassirou Faye of Senegal succeeded the useless, unfit, and illegal Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio as ECOWAS chair on July 19, 2026, in Lungi, Sierra Leone, very little has been done to move the rejuvenated ECOWAS forward.
