The cocaine ring led by Europe’s most wanted drug fugitive, Joseph Johannes Leijdekker, aka Bolle Jos, alias Omar Sheriff, is central to today’s action being taken by the EU Parliament against the West African state of Sierra Leone, today labelled as a cocaine state.

The latest reports say members of parliament of the European Union have said enough is enough to the nonsense unfolding in Sierra Leone, which is acting as the hub of transhipment of drugs from the West African subregion into Europe and into other parts of the world.

And the fact that Sierra Leone is giving a haven to the Dutch drug baron Bolle Jos alias Omar Sheriff is an affront to the EU nations, which are looking out for the drug fugitive sentenced to 36 years in absentia for drug trafficking, among other serious offences. As a consequence, the EU Parliament is meeting today in Brussels to vote to impose every possible sanction on Sierra Leone for playing a dubious role in propping up Jos Leijdekker whose activities continue to traffic dangerous drugs around the world.

Today, the EU voted to legalise the imposition of sanctions ranging from financial and economic embargoes to travel visa bans for Sierra Leone officials, apparently to send a stark message that the EU will no longer tolerate the production, distribution and sale of cocaine worldwide.

Millions of euros in cash grants coupled with development projects intended for Sierra Leone will be blocked for a variety of reasons, including but not limited to drug trafficking, money laundering, electoral fraud in the 2023 elections, crimes against humanity, and so forth.

The majority of Sierra Leoneans are delighted with the current steps taken by the EU parliamentarians to vote in favour of imposing sanctions on Maada Bio’s corrupt and dictatorial SLPP regime, backed by the openly corrupt main opposition APC party.

Meanwhile, the people of Sierra Leone, especially those who voted overwhelmingly for the President-elect, Dr Samura Kamara, in the June 24, 2023 elections, are hopefully expecting the restoration of democracy very shortly. EU Parliament Wants to Enforce a Tough Approach for Dutch Drug Fugitive Bolle Jos by Imposing Stiff Sanctions on Sierra Leone

The European Parliament wants to take a tougher approach on Bolle Jos by further pressuring Sierra Leone. This is what De Telegraaf wrote. It is the first time that the name of the Breda drug criminal has been mentioned in the European Parliament. According to the newspaper, a large majority of the European Parliament is expected to vote for stronger judicial cooperation with countries in West Africa on Thursday.

With this, convicts of serious drug crimes, such as the fugitive Jos Leijdkkers, who are believed to be hiding in Sierra Leone, would not escape justice. Sierra Leone will receive 352 million euros in subsidies from the EU between 2021 and 2027. In addition, the country benefits from regional and international EU programmes.

Stop Development Aid – Initiator of the plan, VVD MEP Malik Azmani, explains in the Telegraph that the European Commission is called upon to use everything in cooperation with Sierra Leone to ensure that the country does not get in the way of the course of justice. Minister David van Weel of Justice and Security has been trying for some time to stop development aid to Sierra Leone to get the Breda drug criminal extradited. For example, he previously gave an interview to a TV station in Sierra Leone, but his statements did not go over well there. He also made an attempt in the European Union to stop the aid, but a number of countries doubted it.

Doubt About Help Stoppage – According to the Telegraph, a few Member States are still opposed to a proposal that was put on the table in July. Yet the hope is that there will be an agreement by the end of this year.

The European Parliament’s call also highlights the recent explosion of violence in Overasselt. In addition, Azmani makes a call to open a front against drug shipments at sea. “More cross-border exchange of information is needed, and more controls on ships need to be carried out,” he told the newspaper.

Jos Leijdekkers is considered one of the largest drug criminals in the Netherlands. The Bredanaar has been sentenced to more than a hundred years’ imprisonment in the Netherlands and Belgium. According to various sources, Leijdekkers has a relationship with the daughter of President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra Leone. That would make extradition difficult.
