Is Aunty Kadie of the USA a political ghost? Is her true name Khadija Sesay? Has she ever worked for Ernest Koroma’s APC government at the Open Government Initiative OGI at the Office of the President as Director? Isn’t it time to clear the air? These questions persist. If Aunty Kadie of the USA is not a ghost, why not come out like a brave political soldier, media guru and humanitarian, as is claimed in certain quarters, to show herself to the people of Sierra Leone. If she is afraid to make her photo public for fear of juju, why not identify herself by other means?

After all, Aunty Kadie of the USA is already a public figure by virtue of her great role in social media. The longer she hides from the electorate, the more things will go against her political ambitions. Make hay while the sun shines. Strike when the iron is hot. Who is this Khadija Sesay, anyway? Will she come out to clear the air?

There are so many burning questions that have been raised by both factions of the Council of APC Media Bloggers Home and Abroad, led by APC Malaka Duplicate on one hand and MK 20 on the other. The accusations and counter-accusations are making both sides a laughingstock, but most significantly paving the way to distract the people from the most important fight, i.e. electoral justice.

It is a serious matter, though, considering the current political climate punctured by the illegal Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio, who has destroyed the country beyond repair. The Malaka group has persistently accused the other side of being manipulated by Aunty Kadie of the USA, whom they dubbed ‘Ghost’ because she is yet to be properly identified. They insisted that even the other side, supported by Aunty Kadie of the USA, does not actually know her.

Malaka Group said most of Aunty Kadie’s supporters, despite working for her, have never seen her picture, let alone hear her voice, i.e. ‘Ghost’ voice. The Malaka side, including popular blogger Mista Salone and others, believe the ‘ghostly’ Aunty Kadie does not care for her bloggers. The Malaka Group also accused Aunty Kadie of dividing social media.

“She is only misusing them for her political godfather Ernest Bai Koroma, former President of Sierra Leone, whose integrity is at an all-time low,” the Malaka side said, adding that Aunty Kadie’s supporters do not know whether she is a woman or a man or an animal. The only solution is for the bloggers to ignore Aunty Kadie and concentrate on EJ.

This is how serious the accusation from the Malaka group has gone. Until this week, yesterday precisely, when Mista Salone dropped the final bombshell. He posted pictures of one Khadija Sesay, whom he insisted is the Aunty Kadie of the USA, the ‘ghost.’

MK 2O in his audio yesterday, laughed off the Khadija Sesay photo, dubbing Mista Salone as making a big mistake. “The pictures and name are not Aunty Kadie. Why are these people so eager to see Aunty Kadie’s picture?” MK 20 questioned.

He added that the Malaka side is only insisting on Aunty Kadie’s photo because they had an ulterior motive to harm her, i.e. for juju means. For his part, Ambassador Alie, Aunty Kadie’s right-hand secretary, blasted the Malaka Group as betrayers of electoral justice.

Ambassador Alie added that Aunty Kadie has always stood by the president-elect, Dr Samura Kamara, since 2018. In his fury, he noted that no one can harm Aunty Kadie because she is a genuine EJ fighter by assisting so many people through her numerous media outlets and associations.

“There is only one reason why they want Aunty Kadie’s picture and real name. They want to take her photo to the voodoo world to harm her,” Ambassador Alie accused, saying this is not going to happen; when the real time comes, Aunty Kadie will show herself to the public.

Other members of the MK 20 side, namely Wake Up Call, Hassan Yonibana, Lansana APC, and others, have joined in blasting the Malaka side. This is bloodletting, literally spilling around. The highest profile is veteran politician Chief Sumanoh Kapen 111, who advised all sides to stop the insults at each other. Mr Fadika Factor also advised everyone to look at the bigger picture, i.e. the success of EJ and the democracy restoration in Sierra Leone.

All started after the rumours of the Vice President’s job surfaced. The MK20 side is accusing the Malaka side of supporting Dr Momoh Vandi, popularly known as MOV, even though there is no proof to show that MOV has personally declared for the VP job.

The Malaka side has also claimed to have unearthed secret moves by the “ghostly” Aunty Kadie’s plan to go for the VP job, and they believe that is why the MK20 group are fuming with rage whenever they hear the name MOV.

Sound voices have advised that anyone who wants to get any job must meet the employer, i.e. Dr Samura Kamara. But this cannot be possible if people are hiding their true identities – no photos, no real names. “We do not want ‘ghost’ workers in the next government,” sound minds advised.

Meanwhile, the bad blood between the two councils goes on amid a prime prospect of the restoration of democracy gaining momentum. Right now, there is only one person who can really solve this problem once and for all.

And that person is Aunty Kadie of the USA herself. The earlier she makes herself known to the public by showing her true name and stopping the ‘ghostly’ description, the better for her future and her supporters. Sanity will return; otherwise, the storm and more questions continue. Thankfully, the tirade of insults here and there will not stop the transition of power. Lonta.
