Bio’s Waterloo: EU Leaders in Armenia Summit Discuss Spain’s Seizure of Drug Ship from Sierra Leone Worth 2.4 Billion Euros
Quick Summary
The cocaine King and illegal President of Sierra Leone Bio has reached his Waterloo after his cocaine ship worth €2.4 billion was seized in Spanish waters.
The seizure happened on Friday, May 1, 2026. This latest confiscation of a cocaine shipment in Spain is not only a mammoth disgrace for Sierra Leone as a country, but it is, without a doubt, the biggest trouble for the cocaine king, Maada Bio, since the discovery of Europe’s most wanted drug baron, Jos Leijdekker, hiding in Sierra Leone. It is not only a personal degradation for the illegal Sierra Leone President Maada Bio, but it is also unquestionably a global embarrassment and shame for the innocent people of Sierra Leone. Diplomatic sources say this will quicken the restoration of democracy.
The seizure of the ship smuggling drugs worth around 2.4 billion Euros is reported in the international mainstream media, such as BBC, Sky News, etc., as the biggest and highest valued cocaine confiscation in Spanish waters. This description has further dented the country’s image.
The European Union leaders who attended the Armenia summit, including the British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer, did not hide their horror after hearing the cocaine news. The Armenia meeting was dominated by the Russia-Ukraine war as well as the Sierra Leone. But the sad news about the cocaine seizure in Spain took over the Armenia summit on Monday. This is indicative of the serious trouble Maada Bio has found himself in. Bio’s removal from power will be hastened following this largest seizure of drugs in Europe.
Bio is doing business with his son-in-law, Joseph Johannes Leijdekker, aka Bolle Jos, also known as Omar Sheriff, who is Europe’s most wanted drug lord, a fugitive hiding in Sierra Leone. Bio has turned Sierra Leone into the hub of the transhipment of drugs worldwide.
Clandestine movements to capture Bio and Bolle Jos have heightened in recent times, and the Spanish capture of the cocaine ship from Sierra Leone will hasten the pursuit. The global partners know the whereabouts of Bio and Bolle Jos in Sierra Leone.
Everyone is conversant with the fact that Bio relies heavily on the drug money to finance his bankrupt, illegal SLPP regime, clearly handicapped by the global financial sanctions imposed on him for stealing the June 24, 2023, elections. (Photo: Cocaine ship seized).

This is the quality of the silent assassin, President-elect Dr Samura Kamara, the winner of the 2023 elections, who has peacefully squeezed Maada Bio in the throat. The 84 plus 1 tripartite recommendations have tightened the screws on the Bio presidency.
Therefore, the dependency on the cocaine trade will be short-lived for Bio. Bio will not survive these mounting problems at home and abroad. Electoral thievery is enough to oust him. The drug trade is another reason to oust Bio. Not to mention crimes against humanity and other crimes.
It is really good news for 2023 voters as the estimated €2.4 billion worth of cocaine seized by the Spanish Navy in the Canary Islands in the Las Palmas region has traced its origin to Sierra Leone. It is bad news for the SLPP and the evil APC leadership, who depend on drug cash.
Spain Seizes Record Amount of Cocaine in Atlantic Ocean, Authorities Say
By Ella Kipling, 4 May 2026
Spanish police have seized what is thought to be a national record haul of cocaine from a ship in the Atlantic Ocean. Between 30,000 to 45,000kg were found when the Civil Guard intercepted a freighter in international waters, the body’s main union, the AUGC, announced. It called the move a “historic blow to drug trafficking”. (Photo: Cocaine seized).

The vessel was intercepted off Spain’s Canary Islands on Friday, and around 20 people were arrested, the AUGC told the AFP news agency. It had travelled from Sierra Leone and was on its way to Libya. The Civil Guard has declined to give details of the investigation for legal reasons. Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska told reporters in Madrid that the seizure was “one of the biggest, not only nationally but internationally”.
The Civil Guard shared a photograph on X showing the drugs stuffed into the hold of the intercepted vessel. Today, history is being written in the Maritime Service of the Civil Guard. “Intercepted in international waters, the largest known seizure: between 30,000 and 45,000 kg of cocaine on board a freighter,” Interior Minister Fernando Grande-Marlaska noted.
While the boat was headed to Libya, AFP reported that the pattern of previous operations suggests that it was due to offload the drugs onto smaller vessels for distribution in Europe. In January, Spanish authorities made their biggest seizure of cocaine at sea from a ship that was carrying almost 10 tonnes. Courtesy: BBC News.
