Everyone knows that being nice and kind are two qualities that do not align with the true characterisation of Maada Bio, the beleaguered President of Sierra Leone. Even mentally-retarded individuals like the famous Blacker know that kindness is not part and parcel of Maada Bio’s DNA. When you consider Bio’s violent personality and inhuman nature that have left even his first wife Francis and their biological children in limbo, then you will realise how niceties and kindness for other people have eluded Maada Bio. It is therefore no surprise that the recent pleasantries from Maada Bio to individuals he had hated before have come with a pinch of salt. “It is better late than never” the wise often say. But as far as the violent-oriented Maada Bio is concerned his lateness to do good things over the years has only exposed his inadequacies and hypocrisy in politics and family affairs. Yet, today, Maada Bio’s blind supporters are hailing him as the new Messiah who has suspiciously lifted the travel restriction on APC politicians whose passports were forcefully and unlawfully confiscated five years ago in the guise of fighting corruption charges which turned out to be fakeries. The Sierra Leone passport’s life span is five years, which means that all the passports handed over to the APC politicians today have expired. Why give back expired passports? Why now? This is the salient question keen political observers are asking Maada Bio after he instructed his illegal SLPP regime to release the useless passports to the real owners of the APC party, all of which expired a long time ago. Why has Maada Bio decided to make amends in the passport issues now? Does Bio’s so-called kindness have to do with the arrival of the international community namely the Commonwealth, European Union, the African Union, ECOWAS, etc to mediate between the APC party and the incumbent SLPP regime? The answer is a definite yes. It is no coincidence that Maada Bio’s niceties are linked to the ongoing Dialogue to resolve the fraudulent June 24, 2023 elections which Bio stole through the connivance with the crook chief Electoral Commissioner of Sierra Leone Mr Mohamed Kenewui Konneh. You can hear the hypocrisy of the Bio presidency in his recent tweet by Maada Bio’s former Spokesman Keketoma Sandi where he boasted of the ‘Saful’ lifting of the travel ban on APC politicians. Another blatant hypocrisy recently exhibited by Maada Bio was the ill-advised and shameful congratulatory messages he sent to the former Sierra Leone President Ernest Bai Koroma for his 70^th birthday celebrations. Maada Bio, who has more often than not said that Ernest is not his friend, had the audacity to congratulate Ernest. This hypocritical kudos has only exposed Maada Bio’s true intentions at this point in time when foreign mediators have arrived to sort out the electoral mess that the main opposition APC leader Dr Samura Kamara won on June 24. Clearly, Maada Bio and his bunch of SLPP/Paopa rogues cannot be trusted anymore. In recent days, illegitimate Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio has exhibited niceties to individuals who have suffered untold hardship in the last five years of SLPP vandalism and maladministration. Laughably astonishing how bad SLPP politicians are now becoming ‘Nice’ people. ‘Mr Nice’ Bio lifting travel restrictions and wishing Ernest Koroma a happy birthday, will not fool anyone. Passports were seized for the Commission of Inquiry COI nonsense in 2018. Why release passports now?
