Shamefully, the international moral guarantors and the patriotic citizens who listened to the lies spewed by Maada Bio were not surprised at the misleading statements coming from the two sides of his mouth. Bio dubbing himself a democrat and promoting press freedom was laughable and provocative.

What does Maada Bio’s freedom of the press denote or imply? Simply, Bio was telling the world that no media person, including the patriotic social media bloggers Mr Mohamed Moriba, Mr Mombassa, Red4Red, Mr Nice, and even singer Zainab Sheriff, etc., is in prison! What a lie.

Maada Bio has always been renowned for being a celebrated liar, deceitful, and bloody killer. How dare Bio publicly lie that no media individual is in Sierra Leone prison when he is 100% aware that the gallant APC PRO Bo District Mr Mohamed Moriba, the APC patriot Mr Mombassa, and the social media giant Red4Red Mr Nice have been in jail for months now?

No wonder the moral guarantors present at the State House, Aja Fatoumata Jallow-Tambajang and others, were laughing silently as they listened to the madness from Maada Bio. If one does not refer to Maada Bio’s rants as insane, then it beggars belief what insanity is all about.

However, gullible Sierra Leoneans are still heartbroken that Bio is still at State House. As a result of the arrival and departure of the international moral guarantors, the gullible citizens had expected to see the back of Bio being kicked out of power forcefully by the foreign visitors.

But that did not materialise because the international moral guarantors whose visits ended yesterday did not come to Freetown with the mandate to remove the electoral thief Bio, but were sent as follow-up messengers to see the status of the tripartite recommendations. Rather, the heartbroken citizens saw the liar-in-chief, Maada Bio, spreading lies about being a democrat, overseeing a free media, with no media person in jail and bringing down the prices of petroleum products, and a catalogue of misleading information.

In fact, the cost of fuel and other items is going up every day. Bio was responding to the speeches made by the ECOWAS lead and Gambian diplomat Aja Fatoumata Jallow-Tambajang and the representatives from the Commonwealth Secretariat and others at State House in Freetown.

During her discourse, Aja Fatoumata mentioned the 2028 election date (as constitutionally mandated), and she also talked about the 80 recommendations instead of 84, which did not go down well with the gullible Sierra Leoneans who strongly believe in the 2023 elections. That is why citizens are advised not to panic.

The fragility of the citizens’ minds and misunderstanding of what was happening to the political transition process worsened the situation. What was the advice? It was simple. The 2023 voters were cautioned that the delegations were not coming to remove Maada Bio from power and to install the President-elect, Dr Samura Kamara. They were coming to find out the status of the tripartite recommendations. Period!

The social media said that the team that will remove Bio from power is coming later. Yet, the malleability of the impoverished people of Sierra Leone, who are yearning day and night for the return to democratic rule, further confused the people. After Bio spoke, following Fatoumata, the 2023 believers felt like a hammer landing on their heads.

As pain and discouragement grip the gullible citizens, coupled with the hopeless thought that Maada Bio will never be removed in place of the democratic champion Dr Samura Kamara, who won the June 24, 2023, elections, more panic has lumbered in.

Many phone calls from distraught 2023 voters in Sierra Leone ensued, and this newspaper had to explain to the people to calm down and be assured that the Bio lies and innuendos will not change the political transition of power, as the tripartite process is on track and on time. And that the 80 recommendations (electoral reforms) and the 4 divergent recommendations based on the 2023 elections, plus the 85th one by the moral guarantors, shall be enforced by the next batch of foreign delegations to arrive anytime.

Moreover, the SLPP/Paopas did not understand the hidden agenda of the moral guarantors. The SLPP Press Secretary, Keketoma Sandi, could not even properly pronounce Aja Fatoumata Jallow-Tambajang’s name the first time.

Worse for the Paopas, celebrating ignorance, they could not decipher the actual meaning of Fatoumata’s diplomatic words: “The peace process has a context, and that context has a leader, and the leader is Bio.” It means the peace and unity of the country is the sole responsibility of Bio. Anything goes wrong or right, Bio will be held accountable.
