Transition on Track: Bio Dragged to Abuja as ECOWAS Tells Bio “Quit Now, People Never Voted for You, Give Samura His Power”

Quick Summary

This is the simple but clear message the ECOWAS Commission is going to tell pathetic and illegal Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio in Abuja.

It demonstrates that the transition of power is on track as the unelected caretaker President Maada Bio was dragged to Abuja for the emergency ECOWAS meeting, where Bio would be reminded about the peaceful and forceful transfer of power. (Photo: ECOWAS Commission President Alieu Touray).

There is a bright light at the end of the tunnel for Sierra Leoneans. It is not an understatement. Sierra Leone, subjected to seven years of socio-economic bastardisation, shall be free shortly from the autocracy of the SLPP regime.

The days of the tyrannical Paopa regime of madman Bio are coming to an end. Despite being a pathetic and brutal politician, Maada Bio is a lucky bloke who has been given two opportunities in recent months to hand over power peacefully.

One was on January 22, 2025, and the other was April 27, 2025, on Independence Day, when he should have congratulated the President-Elect, Dr Samura Kamara, but Bio instead AWOL to the Basilica for the funeral of Pope Francis, much to the chagrin of the global partners. After the unelected President Bio had flouted the golden chances twice, the third time lucky for Bio is highly unlikely and is out of the question, according to reliable diplomatic sources. No wonder ECOWAS has put the Sierra Leone situation at the top of the agenda today.

Early yesterday, the beleaguered Sierra Leone caretaker President Bio was ordered to report to Abuja, where the ECOWAS Commission, on behalf of the international community, would remind Bio that the transition is on track and that he must abide by it now.

The ECOWAS Commission, like the African Union, United Nations, European Union, and Commonwealth, has run out of patience with delay tactics being displayed by Maada Bio, whose baby-steps movement can only be described as foolish politics.

The confused.com Bio arrived in Nigeria yesterday for the emergency meeting with the Sierra Leone political impasse taking centre stage. And ECOWAS is expected to put forward the 85 Tripartite Committee recommendations, which are actionable and implementable. (Photo: President-Elect Dr Samura Kamara).

Bio’s presence in Abuja this time is an exception after Bio has been sidelined from ECOWAS Heads of States meetings for some time now. The international community calculated and well-planned Bio’s emergency invitation to the meeting today, June 22, 2025.

It remains to be seen if the stupid Maada Bio will play with the dictates of his signatures and peacefully transfer power; otherwise, the forceful option will be implemented as soon as possible. Diplomatic sources say Bio has been sternly warned this time.

In a related development, ECOWAS has rejected Bio’s latest request for a six-month extension before he could transfer power to the democratically elected President-Elect, Dr Samura Kamara. SLPP VP Juldeh Jalloh’s mission to bribe for the extension has failed.

ECOWAS Summit Update: Cocaine Bio is Scared of Handing the ECOWAS Chair to Senegal President Faye; Bio Prefers Anglophone to Francophone Successor!

The illegal Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio, who publicly stole the June 24, 2023 general and presidential elections, is a confused man today. Cocaine King Maada Bio is not only disoriented and jittery at this point when ECOWAS commissioners are in Freetown for the 69th summit, but Bio’s SLPP regime is entirely on the brink of causing more confusion within the ECOWAS commission. The illegitimate Sierra Leone President Bio is shamefully dragging his feet over the handing over of the ECOWAS chairmanship to the rightful individual, in the person of Senegalese President Bassirou Faye, who should have got it since last year when Bio bribed to get it. Diplomatic sources have hinted that Maada Bio, the current ECOWAS chairman who dubiously secured the position last year by bribing Nigerian President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, is not planning to transfer the ECOWAS chair to President Faye. ECOWAS leaders are expected in Freetown on July 19, 2026.

EBK’s Fake Freedom Won’t Distract EJ Win; His Arrest for Betraying Democracy Looms; Tinubu Happy to See EBK’s Back; Hope He Returns Sooner to Face Citizens

The fake freedom suspiciously arranged for Ernest Bai Koroma EBK is not only a fruitless distraction, but EBK’s immediate return will suit 2023 voters. It is a massive trump card indeed, especially for electoral justice campaigners who will eventually see judicial revenge for those who undermine the June 24, 2023, general and presidential elections. EBK is obviously the first accused and chief architect of selling the 2023 votes to his cocaine paymaster, Julius Maada Bio. That is why the dubious freedom dished out to cruel EBK by the electoral commander-in-thief Julius Maada Bio is wholeheartedly welcomed by electoral justice EJ fighters whose main ambition is to restore democracy and to put on trial the betrayers of the people’s mandate. At first glance, it is clear that EBK’s recent freedom, granted by the corrupt SLPP and APC parliamentarians, is a high-class trap for him. The dramatic overturning of the ridiculous treason charge against EBK in parliament, rather than in the High Court, is a monumental blunder, deception and distraction.
