Jos Leijdekker is the son-in-law of Sierra Leone’s illegal President Julius Maada Bio, who is also intrinsically linked to the former Liberian Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor. And as the three US agencies, led by the FBI, investigate Liberia, Sierra Leone is next on the list.

Cocaine king Maada Bio is in shambles, knowing full well that the members of the international community are ready to restore democracy in Sierra Leone, and the present drug trafficking situation will exacerbate the restoration without delay.

Suspicion has been a distant thought as to why Sierra Leone’s cocaine king, Maada Bio, was frequently flying abroad. It was also a far-fetched feeling to decipher the primary reason why the illegitimate Sierra Leone President Bio was often seen airborne.

Now it is clear that Maada Bio was misusing the presidency to smuggle illicit drugs to countries in West Africa and overseas through the chartered plane he had used so many times. Money laundering was central to Bio’s frequent flights, aiding and abetting Bolle Jos.

The majority of Sierra Leoneans who had suffered and continue to face hardship under Bio’s autocratic SLPP regime were totally unsuspicious of Bio’s motivation for the frequent flights. The only topic of discussion was the waste of the country’s resources by Bio.

Today, more revelations have surfaced about Bio’s incessant travels, which escalated after the broad daylight robbery of the June 24, 2023 general and presidential elections. Bio took the unenviable record as the Head of State who had travelled the most since records began.

Rarely have you seen Bio stay in Sierra Leone for more than two months in a row since 2018. When taxpayers in Sierra Leone complained about his frequent flights, the useless Bio would say the people are jealous of him. “I will continue to fly,” Bio bluffed.

The indefatigable international community led by the US, EU, UK, UN, AU, Commonwealth, etc., has busted the cocaine smuggling ring. Many ships carrying smuggled drugs from Sierra Leone have been seized in Spain, Germany, and West Africa.

Millions of dollars’ worth of cocaine consignments have been seized in West African countries, namely Guinea and Liberia. In neighbouring Liberia, the former Vice President Jewel Howard-Taylor has been nabbed for drug smuggling linked to Bio’s Sierra Leone.

Sources have confirmed that so many names have been unearthed linked to the illicit drug trade. Most of the names are already on the list of suspects who are to face trial at the ICC and the Special Court in Freetown and in The Hague, the Netherlands.

Rebranding Sierra Leone was a pivotal part of Bio’s 2018 SLPP manifesto, a promise that he never kept. What a way to rebrand a country with smuggling of drugs and money laundering, crimes against humanity and electoral fraud becoming the order of the day.

Now, the three no-nonsense US agencies, such as the US Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the Drug Enforcement Administration DEA have joined the Federal Bureau of Investigation FBI to probe the origin of the global drug trade believed to be Sierra Leone.

As we go to press, the new revelations confirming Bio taking advantage of his presidency to become the biggest smuggler of cocaine worldwide by misusing his private chartered jet since 2018 have infuriated the international community, and there is proof to support them. Thankfully, the President-elect, Dr Samura Kamara, will be sworn in very shortly, the only solution to save Sierra Leone.
