The APC USA Summit in Virginia is Dotted with Undying APC Spirit – Veteran Kabs Kanu Says
Quick Summary
The APC/USA Summit in Virginia has come at the right moment to uplift the spirit of unity of all true APC party members supporters and sympathisers.
Following the Peace and Unity Dialogue in Freetown last week which ended with various sections of the communities having different opinions – some negative, others positive – the people of Sierra Leone needed solace and cold water to dampen the pessimism on the horizon. As if the organisers of the APC/USA Summit had foreseen the lack of an optimistic atmosphere post Dialogue, they came up with the brilliant idea weeks ago to convene this historic summit. Congratulations to the organisers of the summit, which has turned out to be a huge success in the United States. True APC supporters are all thrilled around the world. Prominent Sierra Leone figures attended the summit from far and wide including Dr Alfred Venod Fullah, the International Criminal Lawyer based in the UK. Even famous Sierra Leone lawyer Mr Ady Macauley was in attendance. US-based business tycoon and politician Alhaji Mohamed Kamara aka Money Jagaban made a speech as well at the summit. Mr Abdulai Bayraytay, the former Spokesman to President Ernest Koroma, was conspicuously present. He eloquently responded to the summit touching on topics like civil rights and human rights violations in Sierra Leone under the illegal President Maada Bio. Veteran journalist and penman Reverend Ambassador Kabs Kanu and the Texas Chief and Senior Editor of Cocorioko, Mr Sanpha Sesay.were also there among many other resourceful Sierra Leoneans.

Fruitful Summit and It Came at the Right Time to Inject Solace, Undying Spirit, Unfailing and Unflagging Loyalty
By Kabs Kanu in the US
It has been a very fruitful summit so far and it came at the right time of dire need to inject solace, undying spirit, unfailing and unflagging loyalty and commitment to the cause of the APC and the nation and the determination to bounce back from whatever setbacks we have suffered since 2018. Yesterday was not only a day of coming together, fraternizing as a family and hanging heads together about the future of the party but also a day of panel discussions on topics of Supreme importance to our nation. I will bring you the full reports. The panel discussions were very instructive and empowering. We came to some big conclusions among many more upcoming ones that more than ever before:
- WE NEED TO STICK TOGETHER AS A PARTY. BREAKING away is not an option.
- IT HAS COME TO THE TIME WHEN WE IN THE DIASPORA MUST NO LONGER BE PASSIVE FOLLOWERS of our party and national leaders but very active, hands-on participants in decision-making processes.
- The lions must start having their own historians or the story of the hunt will always glorify the hunter. I will keep you posted but it has been a great summit. It will last another day. (Photo: APC members at the summit. Abduali Bayraytay, 6th left).
