SLPP Foreign Minister Timothy Lies: 2023 Elections, Not Visa Over-Stay, Is Main Reason US Labels Sierra Leone Failed State

Quick Summary

Telling lies, spreading falsehoods and playing political chicanery and daft mind games are the norms of the illegal SLPP regime led by Bio, bogus ECOWAS chair.

Lots of misinformation and misleading statements are being bandied around by members of the illegal Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio in the aftermath of the disgraceful, failed state description directed at Sierra Leone by the American government. (Photo: Liar Timothy and his boss, illegal President Maada Bio).

President Donald Trump does not mince words when it comes to telling shithole leaders like Maada Bio the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Very recently, the US government placed Maada Bio’s Sierra Leone among 19 failed states and high-risk categories.

A serious indictment of the illegality of Maada Bio’s rule that is now affecting millions of Sierra Leonean residents in the United States as well as in Sierra Leone. The imposition of the visa ban, thus restricting Sierra Leone passport holders from travelling to the US, is frustrating.

Now, instead of the illegal Sierra Leone regime coming out and saying the truth, Maada Bio is sending out his SLPP Foreign Minister, Timothy Musa Kabbah, to spread lies and to misinform the people of Sierra Leone. Unfortunately for Bio, most Sierra Leoneans are wise today. (Photo: US Homeland Secretary Kristi Noem).

They know exactly why the US government imposed the visa restrictions on Sierra Leone. Sierra Leoneans are aware that the main reason why President Trump decided to teach Bio this bitter lesson is because of the fraudulent June 24, 2023, elections in Sierra Leone.

Yet, the loudmouth SLPP Foreign Minister Timothy had the temerity to lie that the US visa ban emanated from the fact that many Sierra Leoneans resident in the US have overstayed and therefore their visas have expired, thus angering the US Homeland Security Department.

What a lie by Timothy. The Bio regime is disgracefully hiding the truth. They know that it was because the SLPP regime connived with almost all the vital internal stakeholders to steal the June 24, 2023, elections from the real winner, Dr Samura Kamara of the APC party.

Look at all 19 blacklisted countries considered as high-risk and failed states. Most of them have one common denominator. Most of them were involved in electoral fraud that violated the people’s mandate, thus preventing the democratically elected from taking power. (Photo: President-elect Dr Samura Kamara is the only answer).

Timothy’s broad daylight lies to cover up the incompetence of the Bio regime have further exposed the lack of respect and care for the people of Sierra Leone. Today, the nearly 5,000 affected Sierra Leoneans resident in the US are mostly SLPP/Paopa supporters. Chickens coming home to roost!

Election rigging in Sierra Leone was paramount in the minds of the US before the visa, travel bans and financial and economic embargoes were imposed. Look at the countries that had overstayed visas. Sierra Leone was not even mentioned. Yet, Timothy’s lies continue.

Check the numbers and countries that were mentioned for overstaying visas in the US but were still able to stay in the US after their immigration status was regularised. Nigeria had 376,000 immigrants who overstayed. Ethiopia had 227,000 immigrants who overstayed.

Egypt had 132,000 immigrants who overstayed in the US as well. South Africa had 109,000 immigrants. Ghana had 103,000 immigrants. Kenya had 92,000 immigrants. Somalia had 91,000 immigrants. Cameroon had 37,000 immigrants, according to reliable US sources. (Photo: The June 24, 2023, elections are central in the US visa ban).

Tanzania had 37,000 immigrants. Zimbabwe had about 37,000 immigrants. Look at the above-named countries, you will notice that Sierra Leone was conspicuously absent in the countries that overstayed in the US. Yet, Timothy lied that overstaying was the main reason!

The 19 restricted nations are Afghanistan, Myanmar, Chad, the Republic of Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Haiti, Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen. Travellers and immigrants from Burundi, Cuba, Laos, Sierra Leone, Togo, Turkmenistan and Venezuela are partially suspended from entry.

On his official Facebook page on Friday, December 5, 2025, Timothy acknowledged that Sierra Leoneans are affected by the US visa bans, describing the situation as gruelling and deeply distressing. Yet, Timothy fails to say it was the 2023 elections that caused the problems, not the visa overstays. Electoral justice has won the battle and the war.

ECOWAS Summit Update: Cocaine Bio is Scared of Handing the ECOWAS Chair to Senegal President Faye; Bio Prefers Anglophone to Francophone Successor!

The illegal Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio, who publicly stole the June 24, 2023 general and presidential elections, is a confused man today. Cocaine King Maada Bio is not only disoriented and jittery at this point when ECOWAS commissioners are in Freetown for the 69th summit, but Bio’s SLPP regime is entirely on the brink of causing more confusion within the ECOWAS commission. The illegitimate Sierra Leone President Bio is shamefully dragging his feet over the handing over of the ECOWAS chairmanship to the rightful individual, in the person of Senegalese President Bassirou Faye, who should have got it since last year when Bio bribed to get it. Diplomatic sources have hinted that Maada Bio, the current ECOWAS chairman who dubiously secured the position last year by bribing Nigerian President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, is not planning to transfer the ECOWAS chair to President Faye. ECOWAS leaders are expected in Freetown on July 19, 2026.

EBK’s Fake Freedom Won’t Distract EJ Win; His Arrest for Betraying Democracy Looms; Tinubu Happy to See EBK’s Back; Hope He Returns Sooner to Face Citizens

The fake freedom suspiciously arranged for Ernest Bai Koroma EBK is not only a fruitless distraction, but EBK’s immediate return will suit 2023 voters. It is a massive trump card indeed, especially for electoral justice campaigners who will eventually see judicial revenge for those who undermine the June 24, 2023, general and presidential elections. EBK is obviously the first accused and chief architect of selling the 2023 votes to his cocaine paymaster, Julius Maada Bio. That is why the dubious freedom dished out to cruel EBK by the electoral commander-in-thief Julius Maada Bio is wholeheartedly welcomed by electoral justice EJ fighters whose main ambition is to restore democracy and to put on trial the betrayers of the people’s mandate. At first glance, it is clear that EBK’s recent freedom, granted by the corrupt SLPP and APC parliamentarians, is a high-class trap for him. The dramatic overturning of the ridiculous treason charge against EBK in parliament, rather than in the High Court, is a monumental blunder, deception and distraction.
