Sierra Leone is an Emotive State; Country Without a Government! Everyone is a Governor; Bio on AWOL as SLPP Ministers Fleeing
Quick Summary
Who is running Sierra Leone at the moment? This is the pertinent question on the lips of keen political observers and citizens inside and outside the country.
Emotions are running high in Sierra Leone, where suffering Sierra Leoneans, who are in the majority, are wondering why the Almighty God has left them a country without a recognised government and no direction. Who is ruling Sierra Leone now? (Photo: Powerless Maada Bio is in hiding).
This pertinent question is equally worrying the patriotic Sierra Leoneans in the diaspora, who are praying and hoping that sanity returns to their beloved nation as soon as possible. Currently, there is no government running the state for obvious reasons.
The so-called President Julius Maada Bio, who stole the June 24, 2023, elections from the legitimate winner and President-Elect Dr Samura Kamara of the APC party, is nowhere to be seen. Bio’s mob Justice wife Fatima Jabbe Bio and their children are hiding overseas.
The illegal SLPP/Paopa regime has evaporated into thin air in recent times, and the situation has worsened following the secret fleeing of top SLPP/Paopa government officials abroad, irresponsibly leaving their jobs back home. They appear to be afraid of their shadows. (Photo: President-elect Dr Samura Kamara is the people’s leader).

It is understandable why these criminal gangs, comprising bandits and electoral thieves, are fleeing their responsibilities. They know their illegal President Maada Bio is not legitimate, and they know the international community is piling unending pressure on them to quit the State House.
This odd political situation has left patriotic citizens to live in a rudderless nation with every Musu and Musa doing what he or she likes, thereby rendering the country into serious political, economic, and social predicaments and leaving most citizens to continue to suffer untold hardship.
Today, everyone observes SLPP/Paopa press releases from State House with no signatures to authenticate who is in charge. All you see on the press statements are the State House letterheads with the logo and the stamp depicting the State House. That’s all. No official is in charge of taking responsibility. (Photo: Fatima Bio ran away).

This is not a sober government. It is chaos. It clearly shows that no one is in charge of the various offices. Most of the government offices are vacant today because the SLPP/Paopas, who are supposed to steer the ship of state to development, are running helter-skelter like mad dogs fleeing trouble.
Quite often, the people of Sierra Leone hear political scientists talk about ‘there should be no gap in governance’. But today, a recognised and serious person does not govern Sierra Leone. This is the dilemma. And it is making Sierra Leoneans emotional.
Meanwhile, the legitimate president-elect, Dr Samura Kamara, is on the verge of filling the governance gap to once more usher in sanity in the country. And the people of Sierra Leone, who voted for him overwhelmingly in 2033, are preparing to welcome the new government. It is just a matter of time before this happens.
