Russian President Vladimir Putin Planning Attacks that Could Lead to ‘Nuclear Disaster’, President Zelenskyy Says

Quick Summary

Speaking at the UN, the Ukrainian president warns radiation “will not respect state borders” as he calls on world leaders to put pressure on Russia.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is planning attacks on Ukraine’s nuclear power plants, Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said. Speaking at the UN General Assembly in New York, the Ukrainian president addressed Russia‘s 2022 attack on the nuclear facility in the city of Zaporizhzhia, which Moscow’s forces now control. Describing initial reports of Russia’s attack on that plant as “one of the most horrifying moments of the war”, he warned the world must pressure Moscow to prevent “nuclear disaster”. “Recently, I received yet another alarming report from our intelligence – now Putin does seem to be planning attacks on our nuclear power plants,” Mr Zelenskyy said. “Any missile or drone strike, any critical incident in the energy system could lead to a nuclear disaster. “A day like that must never come, and Moscow needs to understand this, and this depends in part on your determination to put pressure on the aggressor.” Mr Zelenskyy claimed Russia is getting detailed images and information on the infrastructure of Ukraine’s nuclear plants with the “help” of “satellites of other countries”. “If, God forbid, Russia causes a nuclear disaster at one of our nuclear power plants, radiation will not respect state borders,” he added. Russia has already targeted large parts of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, Mr Zelenskyy said, with all thermal power plants destroyed as well as “a large part” of its hydroelectric capacity. Mr Putin is trying to keep “millions” of Ukrainians in the cold and dark this winter, the Ukrainian leader warned. “Since Russia can’t defeat our people’s resistance on the battlefield, Putin is looking for other ways to break the Ukrainian spirit,” he added.

Mr Zelenskyy urged leaders at the UN to stand with his country and pursue “real, just peace”. The Ukrainian president is expected to present a “victory plan” to the White House – two and a half years after Russia’s full-scale invasion. Recent weeks have seen Mr Zelenskyy pushing the US, and other Western allies, for permission to use longer-range missiles to strike deeper into Russia.

ECOWAS Summit Update: Cocaine Bio is Scared of Handing the ECOWAS Chair to Senegal President Faye; Bio Prefers Anglophone to Francophone Successor!

The illegal Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio, who publicly stole the June 24, 2023 general and presidential elections, is a confused man today. Cocaine King Maada Bio is not only disoriented and jittery at this point when ECOWAS commissioners are in Freetown for the 69th summit, but Bio’s SLPP regime is entirely on the brink of causing more confusion within the ECOWAS commission. The illegitimate Sierra Leone President Bio is shamefully dragging his feet over the handing over of the ECOWAS chairmanship to the rightful individual, in the person of Senegalese President Bassirou Faye, who should have got it since last year when Bio bribed to get it. Diplomatic sources have hinted that Maada Bio, the current ECOWAS chairman who dubiously secured the position last year by bribing Nigerian President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, is not planning to transfer the ECOWAS chair to President Faye. ECOWAS leaders are expected in Freetown on July 19, 2026.

EBK’s Fake Freedom Won’t Distract EJ Win; His Arrest for Betraying Democracy Looms; Tinubu Happy to See EBK’s Back; Hope He Returns Sooner to Face Citizens

The fake freedom suspiciously arranged for Ernest Bai Koroma EBK is not only a fruitless distraction, but EBK’s immediate return will suit 2023 voters. It is a massive trump card indeed, especially for electoral justice campaigners who will eventually see judicial revenge for those who undermine the June 24, 2023, general and presidential elections. EBK is obviously the first accused and chief architect of selling the 2023 votes to his cocaine paymaster, Julius Maada Bio. That is why the dubious freedom dished out to cruel EBK by the electoral commander-in-thief Julius Maada Bio is wholeheartedly welcomed by electoral justice EJ fighters whose main ambition is to restore democracy and to put on trial the betrayers of the people’s mandate. At first glance, it is clear that EBK’s recent freedom, granted by the corrupt SLPP and APC parliamentarians, is a high-class trap for him. The dramatic overturning of the ridiculous treason charge against EBK in parliament, rather than in the High Court, is a monumental blunder, deception and distraction.
