Premier League Latest: Liverpool Crowned Champions – Giving Fans a Chance to Celebrate with Team Beating Spurs 5-1

Quick Summary

Five years on from the COVID-restricted celebrations, Liverpool fans will finally get the chance to properly celebrate a league title win with their team.

The Reds made light work of the competition this year, ending Manchester City’s dominance in the process. Follow the latest here. Liverpool ran riot over Spurs to win the Premier League. There you have it! Liverpool have won their 20th league title. Arne Slot’s men did it in impressive style, turning over Tottenham Hotspur in a convincing win. It was a rocky start for the Reds after Dominic Solanke put the North London side ahead. (Photo: Liverpool are champs).

However, fortunes quickly changed in the first half as Liverpool scored three times without a response. In the second half, it took until the 63rd minute for Mohamed Salah to make it 4-1 before a fifth followed. Around the 75th minute, red balloons blew across the pitch, with some fans too impatient to wait to celebrate. The game, piling more misery on Spurs, ended 5-1. Let the party begin for the Merseyside team.

Slot and Klopp’s full circle moment as Dutchman returns the favour – Jurgen Klopp was one of Liverpool’s most popular managers. He transformed the team back into title challengers, and following him was seen as an unenviable task by many. One of Klopp’s final acts was to chant the name of his successor as he bade an emotional farewell to Anfield. (Photo: Mo Salah).

After Liverpool’s Premier League win today, Arne Slot returned the compliment, singing Klopp’s name to the Merseyside faithful. Asked later why he made that gesture, Slot said: “Because of what he did before I even arrived here – I think that is something not one manager ever did before. “That helped me but apart from that, he helped me even more by the team he left behind and the culture he left behind in that team.”

Salah’s selfie celebrating Liverpool’s fourth goal – After the fourth goal, in Liverpool’s 5-1 win over Spurs today, some fans may have noticed how Mohamed Salah celebrated. The star attacker, using someone else’s phone, took a selfie with fans behind him. The Egyptian winger has now posted it, so look away, Tottenham fans.

World Cup winner calls Premier League title ‘not bad’ – More reaction to bring you from Liverpool’s players now, this time from midfielder Alexis Mac Allister. The Argentine is a current World Cup winner and has now added a Premier League title to his trophy cabinet. He described winning both as “not bad”. He said, “To win a World Cup and then a Premier League is special.

“It is an achievement that I enjoyed, but it would not be possible without my teammates. “They are really important to me, and I am just one part of the puzzle. This team is really good. Last year, we showed it, but it was not enough in the end. “This time, we made a big difference, and we can enjoy it.” He also thanked his previous manager, Jurgen Klopp.

Are Liverpool now the most successful footballing side in England? The question hanging over today’s win is a controversial one. With their win over Spurs, are Liverpool now England’s most successful club side? Their win today means they have claimed 20 league titles, equalling Manchester United. Much of Man Utd’s own success came under Sir Alex Ferguson.

Both sides have long boasted the biggest trophy hauls in England, but now they’re level on England’s top prize, How do they compare? It all boils down to one specific trophy – the Community Shield – and whether it’s considered a “major honour”. With today’s win, Liverpool and Manchester United now both have 68 “major honours” according to Sky Sports News tallies. But without the Community Shield, Liverpool have 52 and Man Utd only have 47, leaving the Merseyside team clear.

The answer to whether the Community Shield matters depends on who you ask. The FA categorise it as a friendly Sky Sports News report for disciplinary purposes. Alongside that, before 1974, the shield was an invitational competition instead of being a match between the league and FA Cup winners. Seven of Man Utd’s titles, and three of Liverpool’s, came before the 1974 revamp, Sky Sports News reports, leaving lots of questions and no real answers as to who England’s most successful club is. But it all might not matter if Man Utd win the Europa League this season, with the team already in the final four.

Man City boss congratulates Liverpool on win – One club has dominated English football in recent years – Manchester City. Under Pep Guardiola, the side has run rampant over the Premier League, winning the last four titles. But this season, Man City struggled for form and slumped to repeated defeats, leaving the way open for others. Responding to Liverpool’s win, Sky Sports News reported Guardiola said: “On behalf of myself and all the clubs, we want to congratulate Liverpool on the Premier League.

“Well deserved, fantastic team. “Hopefully, next year we are going to be better. But Liverpool, congratulations.” On the same day Liverpool won the league, Guardiola’s side beat Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup semi-final. Why Liverpool fans waited 35 years to celebrate the league with their team. There’s a new Premier League champion in town, with today’s action putting Liverpool officially beyond Arsenal’s reach.

It’s a win that breaks Manchester City’s four-year stranglehold on the league and puts the Anfield club on 20 titles overall – finally matching arch-rivals Manchester United. The Reds were the last side outside of Manchester to lift the trophy when they won their first title in three decades. Sweet as that moment was on Merseyside, the COVID pandemic forced Liverpool’s players to celebrate in an empty stadium.

And that’s what may make this moment all the more significant, with nothing to stop Kopites – those with seats in the famous Kop stand at Anfield – and wider faithful from partying like it’s 1990. ‘This is way better than five years ago’ – Mo Salah – One of Liverpool’s stars, Mohamed Salah, has spoken to Sky Sports News following the win. Salah is Liverpool’s talisman and star attacker, and there was speculation that this year would be his last at the Merseyside club before he signed a new contract.

Speaking after the game, he described the win as “incredible.” He added: “To win the Premier League with the fans is something special. You saw it in every game. “This is way better [than five years ago]. 100%. “We have a different group now, a different manager, so we’re able to show we can do it again, and it’s special.”

ECOWAS Summit Update: Cocaine Bio is Scared of Handing the ECOWAS Chair to Senegal President Faye; Bio Prefers Anglophone to Francophone Successor!

The illegal Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio, who publicly stole the June 24, 2023 general and presidential elections, is a confused man today. Cocaine King Maada Bio is not only disoriented and jittery at this point when ECOWAS commissioners are in Freetown for the 69th summit, but Bio’s SLPP regime is entirely on the brink of causing more confusion within the ECOWAS commission. The illegitimate Sierra Leone President Bio is shamefully dragging his feet over the handing over of the ECOWAS chairmanship to the rightful individual, in the person of Senegalese President Bassirou Faye, who should have got it since last year when Bio bribed to get it. Diplomatic sources have hinted that Maada Bio, the current ECOWAS chairman who dubiously secured the position last year by bribing Nigerian President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, is not planning to transfer the ECOWAS chair to President Faye. ECOWAS leaders are expected in Freetown on July 19, 2026.

EBK’s Fake Freedom Won’t Distract EJ Win; His Arrest for Betraying Democracy Looms; Tinubu Happy to See EBK’s Back; Hope He Returns Sooner to Face Citizens

The fake freedom suspiciously arranged for Ernest Bai Koroma EBK is not only a fruitless distraction, but EBK’s immediate return will suit 2023 voters. It is a massive trump card indeed, especially for electoral justice campaigners who will eventually see judicial revenge for those who undermine the June 24, 2023, general and presidential elections. EBK is obviously the first accused and chief architect of selling the 2023 votes to his cocaine paymaster, Julius Maada Bio. That is why the dubious freedom dished out to cruel EBK by the electoral commander-in-thief Julius Maada Bio is wholeheartedly welcomed by electoral justice EJ fighters whose main ambition is to restore democracy and to put on trial the betrayers of the people’s mandate. At first glance, it is clear that EBK’s recent freedom, granted by the corrupt SLPP and APC parliamentarians, is a high-class trap for him. The dramatic overturning of the ridiculous treason charge against EBK in parliament, rather than in the High Court, is a monumental blunder, deception and distraction.
