Meet Queen of Cocaine, Zainab Kandeh, Bio’s Ex, Agnes Bio’s Mother & Drug Lord Bolle Jos’ Mother-in-Law, Based in Morocco
Quick Summary
Sierra Leone drug cartel is controlled by the Queen of Cocaine, Zainab Kandeh. She is based in Morocco, and is joyously pulling the drug strings, Lucifer-style.
The quiet, mercurial, and sly cocaine manipulator and millionaire Zainab Kandeh has been the brain behind the recruitment, production, distribution, and sale of dangerous drugs in Sierra Leone, in West Africa, and beyond for decades now. (Photo: Agnes Bio and husband Bolle Jos).
Operating under the radar, the drug queen Zainab Kandeh has cleverly controlled this criminal business entity from behind the scenes by using and misusing so many key operatives, ranging from family members to other ruthless drug traders inside and outside the country.
Even before the era of evil, Ernest Bai Koroma’s reign, Zainab Kandeh’s octopus drug trade had spread its tentacles in Sierra Leone from minimal to a higher level. Her name started resurfacing during Ernest’s era when drug consignments from Venezuela were seized at Lungi Airport.
That was when President Ernest Koroma asked the FBI to investigate the matter. And the rope drew the bushes into town. Eventually, big names, including the former Transport and Aviation Minister Ibrahim Kemoh Sesay, were linked with cocaine smuggling, by mistake or not. Mr Kemoh Sesay denied any involvement in the drug smuggling.
President Koroma immediately asked Alhaji Kemoh to stand aside while the FBI conducted its work professionally and without interruption. Sadly, out of shock, Kemoh Sesay fell ill (paralysed on one side), probably due to an underlying condition. But Ernest flew Kemoh to Senegal for medical treatment, plus two relatives to care for him. However, sources close to the Kemoh Sesay family say Ernest Koroma never paid a dime to treat Mr Kemoh Sesay. “All Ernest did was fly Mr Kemoh to Senegal, and all the financial costs for his medical treatment in Senegal and later to France were undertaken by us, not Ernest,” the Kemoh family clarified.
Amid the probe, the FBI unearthed notorious names like GK, operative Mr Ahmed Sesay, who happens to be a friend, and others who subsequently faced forensic investigations and appropriate judicial penalties were issued. Ahmed Sesay was jailed, and GK was given a lengthy jail term in America.
While the adjudication was going on, the Queen of Cocaine, Zainab Kandeh, was sitting silently in Morocco, shuttling to and fro in Sierra Leone while the radar was not focused on her, thereby leaving Zainab to operate smoothly, amassing millions of dollars at the detriment of innocent lives.
From one year to another, Zainab Kandeh recruited the fugitive Dutch drug baron Joseph Johannes Leijdekker, aka Bolle Jos, to extend her business empire in Sierra Leone and in West Africa. Using her remote-controlled magnetic hands, Zainab Kandeh went on to amass more wealth.
Having recruited Bolle Jos and after introducing him to her former lovey-dovey Julius Maada Bio, Zainab Kandeh again played the romantic card to finally and successfully lure the Dutch drug lord Bolle Jos tightly into her global narcotics empire.
The sly Zainab Kandeh did not hesitate to use her daughter Agnes Bio as bait to trap the drug baron Jos Leijdekker. The trick worked, and today, Bolle Jos has become the kingpin and main financier of the SLPP regime. Agnes has a child (youngest drug baron) for Bolle Jos. (Photo: Late President Lansana Conte).

How did the drug queen Zainab Kandeh meet Maada Bio and later marry the late Lansana Conte, former President of Guinea? Young soldier Bio met teenage Zainab Kandeh in Liberia, where their child, Agnes Bio, was conceived in dubious circumstances.
Years later, when the two teenagers split, Zainab Kandeh was parachuted to Conakry, Guinea, where she was luckily introduced to Lansana Conte, who eventually fell in love with the young Zainab, and, as they say, the rest is history.
But the ambitious cocaine queen Zainab Kandeh took full advantage of her presidential environment in Guinea to get involved in the illicit drug trade, and she successfully spread her octopus wings far and wide in the sub-region and beyond.
After her surgeon in the organised drug syndicates in West Africa, Zainab Kandeh relocated to North Africa and quietly settled in Morocco, where she continues to pull the strings comprising dangerous drugs, gun-running deals, money laundering activities and so on.
Sierra Leone became Zainab Kandeh’s central focus, especially after her former sweetheart, Maada Bio, was given the presidency by the wicked former President Ernest Koroma in 2018. Her octopussy wrapped firmly on Bio, and today the SLPP regime is financed by drug money.
And the drug lord Bolle Jos is the main financier footing the bills inside the SLPP and the APC executives. That is why Sierra Leone voters of 2023 are frantically calling on the international community, especially the FBI, Interpol, and Europol, to nab all the cocaine suspects inside and outside Sierra Leone.
