Dr Samura Kamara, who won the June 24, 2023, elections that the illegal president Julius Maada Bio stole, was at the Congo Market by accident. He had gone to the vicinity to say sorry to the family of the late Ya Alimamy Salamatu Fofana.

It was a clear optimism in Sierra Leoneans that very soon the peaceful democratic transition of power shall materialise in the midst of joy, celebration, and the wholehearted welcome of democracy and constitutional rule in Sierra Leone.

As news of Dr Samura Kamara’s presence in the area spread like wildfire, his magnetic love drew the crowds spontaneously to the Congo Market, a unique feat that no other politician could emulate in Sierra Leone today. “We support Electoral Justice,” the crowds echoed.
