Sierra Leoneans were left astonished and shocked when they heard the illegal Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio challenging the US government and even insulting them and accusing them of interfering in the June 24, 2023 elections. It is timely for the APC heavyweight Ady Macauley to lumber into the criticisms of Maada Bio’s negative behaviour against the United States. Former Anti-Corruption Commissioner ACC in the erstwhile President Ernest Bai Koroma; ‘s government, Mr Ady Macauley Esq has criticised Mr Julius Maada Bio for the statement made against former US Ambassador, David Reimer.

Whoever advised Bio to make the statements he made at the American University has not done him, his regime, and the country any favours,” Ady Macauley said. He added that the statements Bio’s administration lacks “self-reproach regarding the stolen elections” human rights abuses and the state of the country’s economy.

Maada Bio also ridiculed himself on the floor of the 78^th edition of the United Nations General Assembly UNGA in New York when he questioned the rationale why the US had imposed travel restrictions on Sierra Leone.
