Latest information reaching the Organiser.net newspaper has alleged that the blanket Amnesty gesture previously given to Maada Bio and his family has been withdrawn, and this bad news for the Bio family was recently confided to Bio in London.

There is nothing more important today for the illegal President Bio than receiving an amnesty for the wrongs his barbaric SLPP regime has done to the people of Sierra Leone since April 04, 2018. There is no more reprieve for Bio despite still begging for the amnesty to be reinstated.

The significance of amnesty for the unelected Sierra Leone President Bio cannot be overstated. Getting amnesty from the international community as a pre-requisite to peacefully transferring power to the President-Elect, Dr Samura Kamara, is Bio’s top priority. But has he blown this opportunity?

Today, the greatest hurdle facing Maada Bio is the tremendous international pressure being exerted on his illegitimate presidency and urging him to hand over power to the democratically elected and legitimate winner, Dr Samura Kamara, without delay.

In London, where Bio has been hiding since last week and surreptitiously lobbying with the stakeholders in the west to offer him blanket amnesty to escape the innumerable human rights crimes committed in the last seven bloody years of SLPP misrule, it has backfired.

Highly placed diplomatic sources say Maada Bio has failed to convince the development partners to give him a new amnesty. Why a new amnesty? This is because the illegal President Bio has lied a few times when it comes to handing over power despite agreeing to do so.

Bio has been told there will be no more amnesty unless and until he congratulates Dr Samura Kamara without delay, and there should be no more hanky-panky games. Otherwise, the global community would do it for him, a situation that would eventually end badly for Maada Bio.

This is the latest problem facing Maada Bio in London. He knows that electoral justice has won the battle, and so his only survival route to salvation is to get the blanket or partial amnesty previously promised, but which seems to be far-fetched.
