ECOWAS Pressure Forces Bio’s Parliament to Go on Recess After SLPP Speaker and Deputy Quit; ECOWAS Soldiers Arrive Sept 15
Quick Summary
The pressure being piled on the illegal President Maada Bio by the Economic Community of West African States ECOWAS is unsettling the SLPP regime.
ECOWAS Heads of States on the strict instructions of the United Nations Security Council are piling constant pressure on the illegitimate SLPP regime because of the bastardisation of the democratic ideals in Sierra Leone. The latest abnormality stems from the June 24, 2023 elections which Julius Maada Bio stole. Political abnormality has become the yardstick with which Maada Bio’s failed SLPP regime had used and continues to use in Sierra Leone. (Photo: Maada Bio knows that his days are numbered).
Normalcy is no longer part and parcel of the political landscape in Sierra Leone under the auspices of the corrupt SLPP regime of the illegitimate SLPP leader Maada Bio. The abnormalities are getting worse today than in the last six horrible years of the SLPP/Paopa regime. In the last few days, the SLPP Speaker of the House of Parliament Sengepoh Solomon Thomas and Deputy Ibrahim Tawa Conteh resigned in mysterious circumstances. (Photo: Speaker Sengepoh gone).

There are conflicting reports given for the reason or reasons for their sudden resignations. What is clear, however, is that it is strange for both the Speaker and Deputy to go on holiday together leaving the seat vacant. Reliable sources in Freetown, confirmed by Sierra Leone’s leading social media activist Mrsta Salone, both the Speaker and Deputy called it quit following serious pressures coming from the brutal Maada Bio and the ECOWAS Parliament.
The latter had been contacting the Sierra Leone Parliament to inform them about the deployments of the ECOWAS Support Mission in Sierra Leone ECOMISIL and the ECOWAS Standby Forces to apparently restore democracy and the stabilisation of the sub-region, respectively. Maada Bio had also advised his Speakers to respond positively to the information from the ECOWAS Parliament but it seems the Speakers could not the weather the storm anymore. Amid, the confusion of taking the advice of Maada Bio, the embattled Speakers decided to resign abruptly. Speaker Sengepoh Solomon Thomas and his Deputy Speaker Ibrahim Tawa Conteh of the sixth parliament of the second Republic have jumped suddenly. Now, to continue the cover-up, the Bio presidency has ordered Parliament to go on recess for two months in order to blind fool the people about what has actually been under the wrap in the past few days. (Photo: Acting Speaker Neneh Lebbie who took charge in the absence of both Sengepoh and Tawa).

In reality, the current parliamentary recess is being used to hide the true picture of the secret resignations at a time when ECOWAS Forces are on the way to Sierra Leone effective September 15, 2024. Political observers say the SLPP Speaker and his Deputy might have seen the writing on the wall that signals the end of the Bio presidency in the aftermath of the fraudulent June 24, 2023 elections which Maada Bio stole from the real winner Dr Samura Kamara of the APC party.
