Following the chaotic and shameful elections in Kenema over the weekend where the Sierra Leone Bar Association SLBA conducted its elections for President, uproar has erupted and today past Presidents of SLBA have come out to visibly criticise the sham polls. Those calling for the annulment of the SLBA disgraceful elections include legal heavyweights and former Presidents of SLBA Mr Charles Margai, Mr Francis Gabbidon, Mr Joseph F Kamara and others. Political Del has the details in his reports thus – Francis Ben Kaifala is a disgrace to elitism and shoddy to democracy. The name Francis Ben Kaifala is synonymous to notoriety, opprobrious. In fact, he is a disgrace personified. When you see Francis Ben Kaifala, you see disgrace in human form. People should now know that, not everybody who has a degree or degrees, is intelligent or a critical thinker. This is no oxymoron, people have certificates, but are not intelligent. Francis Ben Kaifala is a graduate from the school of mechanical learning. Is Ben a critical thinker? No! We have seen how he has handled national issues, as if they are party issues. What is education if you cannot make a positive impact – Education is supposed to be impactful, transformative and generational. With Education, one should be able to impact his Community and society at large. Which positive impact has Francis Kaifala made in Sierra Leone? This is the man who has used his position as ACC Commissioner to exhibit his tribal bigotry, arrogance and to showcase his party allegiance.

Position he should never have held, and shouldn’t be holding. A man tasked as an agent of change. A man whose responsibility is to fight corruption, is the one seen exhibiting it, even representing corruption, in the absence of corruption. Ben Kaifala is iniquitous, his inglorious displayed of corruption at the BAR ASSOCIATION ELECTION, is an underlying testament that he isn’t fit for that position. SLPP is shoddy to democracy! A party that is worse than the 11 years’ rebel war, Ebola, Mudslides and all other disasters we have experienced as a nation. A bad dream the people of Sierra Leone could not wake up from. All other disasters lasted for a while but this artificial disaster, has been with us for over 50 years, and is still with us, suffocating our very existence. A party that has given us villains like Albert Margai they brought us evil personified in Maada Bio.

A party that has given us three terrible leaders, a party that came to power through the ticket of democracy, but think they are ruling under the one party system. They enjoyed democracy, but are depriving others from it. The worst political party in the history of Sierra Leone – A party well known for tribalism, nepotism, regionalism, rituals, corruption, wickedness, unconstitutionality and for undermining Democracy.
