A few days ago, one of the innocent citizens arrested and charged with Treason Mr Bai Mahmoud Bangura who is the APC National Organising Secretary, was released on bail after months in unnecessary detention. Many comrades in the party have expressed great delight in the recovering process of the strategic forward thinking National Organising Secretary Bai Mahmoud. (Photo).

Many people have testified that during his tenure as National Youth League President and Youth Affairs Minister and more recently as National Organising Secretary, there have been remarkable changes in consolidating the party for the advancement of its work. During the voters’ registration period of the 2023 general elections, Bai Mahmoud was among the few comrades who sacrificed his time and money to reinstate the party through registration.

As Bai Mahmoud enjoys the air of freedom and continues to play pivotal role for the success of the party whilst recovering, he has urged everyone to eschew hate speech and divisive messages. And Bai Mahmoud has also advised young people to take leading roles in the struggle to promote democracy in Sierra Leone.
