Yesterday was precisely one week ago when this true son of Sierra Leone, Alie Yassin Junior, passed away at Guy’s Hospital in London following a protracted illness. Special kudos go to all family members and friends who have contributed in cash and kind for the funeral.

The dress code is all black. From the Mosque in Brixton to the Cemetery and to the Reception Hall in Forest Hill, mourners are advised to be in black attire in order to give our brother, cousin, friend, uncle, father & social media manager Jay Man a fitting burial. As a champion of Electoral Justice EJ, top man late Alie Junior Yassin is a well-respected pan-Africanist by all standards, a true Sierra Leone patriot whose ultimate ambition today in heaven is to see the restoration of democracy in his beloved Sierra Leone. Alie Yassin is lovely, helpful, popular and friendly with so many people.

The death of Mr Alie Yassin Jr on the morning of Thursday, October 23, 2025, around 5 am at Guy’s Hospital in London, has left a wide gap very difficult to fill in Sierra Leone. But his good spirits will fill this void in the struggle to free Sierra Leone from the claws of bad people.

Top man Alie Yassin Jr was 57 years old and is survived by four beautiful children, i.e. a son and three daughters, namely Alie Yassin Jr, Alina, Amaya and Aliya. Jay Yassin was born in Tombowalla in Kambia District, Sierra Leone, to Pa Alie Yassin (late) & Mama Fudia Yassin (late). (Photos: Mourners).

Sierra Leone has lost a true hero in Jay Man, whose positive ideals shall linger on for many years to come. The patriotic people of Sierra Leone and foreign friends will always appreciate the priceless quiet role of Alie Yassin in the success of Electoral Justice EJ.

Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that there will be a Zoom link for those who could not attend the funeral ceremony tomorrow and especially those out of the country. The Zoom link coverage is classic, and Manager Alie Yassin Jr, presently in heaven, will be smiling.

Hi Everyone,

The Yassin and Mujuzi families will be providing coaches for those who wish to attend the funeral but do not have transport. Pickup will be from the North Brixton Islamic Cultural Centre, departing promptly soon after the Janaza prayers to take those on board to the Eternal Gardens in Sidcup. (Photos: Mourners).

Please note that seats on the coaches will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. After the burial service, the coach will depart promptly and take passengers to the reception at JK Banquet Hall in Forest Hill, South East London.

For those driving to the cemetery and then heading to the reception, if you have space in your cars for an extra person or two, please make yourselves known on the day and kindly offer your seats to those in need.

Please check the weather forecast in advance and dress appropriately for both the mosque and the cemetery. Kindly note that the dress code colour is black. Let us give Uncle Junior “Alie” Yassin the send-off he deserves. Wishing you all good health and strength. Ameen.
