Many foreign delegations have come and gone in recent times without the Vuvuzelas of the illegal regime of Julius Maada Bio informing the public. The recent high-profile visitors are five officials of the United States government who arrived to meet members of parliament in Freetown to talk about the 84 recommendations. Reports say the five officials are American legislators from Congress who were sent to grill the dishonourable parliamentarians from both sides of the house to find out how the 84 recommendations in the Tripartite Agreement are being presently dealt with.

Sources say the US visitors are in Freetown but not scheduled to meet with the illegal President Maada Bio, who is incidentally out of the capital city for his unhappy Christmas festivity in his place of birth Bonthe, one of the most developmentally backward districts in Sierra Leone.

However, the US law makers know the importance of the American government attachment to the Tripartite Committee recommendations which stipulate that the Sierra Leone parliament should play a part in facilitating the implementation of the 84 recommendations as part of the process.

The five arrived a few days ago, but the SLPP regime and its media mouthpieces AYV, Awareness Times, Global Times, SLBC and others have kept the information from the public. It is common knowledge that any news that does not favour the illegal Sierra Leone regime will not make the headlines.

The arrival of the five Americans, with the blessing of the Economic Community of West African States ECOWAS and the United Nations Office for West Africa and the Sahel UNOWAS, is an indication showing the commitment of the US to defend democracy in Sierra Leone.

At the moment, the Bio marauders are dragging their feet to implement the 84 recommendations, knowing full well that any efforts to implement the recommendations, especially the 4 contentious areas, are tantamount to them committing suicide. (Photos: Dr Samura and Maada).

But the International community would not relent to restore democracy and constitutional rule in Sierra Leone. And they believe only through the 84 Tripartite recommendations would electoral justice be achieved and the voters to get what they deserve.

It means that the actual winner of the June 24, 2023 elections, Dr Samura Kamara, would be crowned sooner. The law makers arrived at the same time when the corrupt APC MPs had sold their birthright by voting with the SLPP MPs on the verge of passing the abortion bill into law.

The unelected Maada Bio is noted for breaking law and order and is a fervent believer in disobeying agreements that he signed himself. The 8 Resolutions of Terms Of Reference TOR is a classic example of an instance where Maada has not respected his own signature.
