The latest country to publicly snub the illegitimate Sierra Leone President is Ukraine. And Ukraine knows the real situation in Sierra Leone even though there is no Ukraine envoy in Sierra Leone. It is therefore no surprise that Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy did not congratulate Maada Bio for the fraudulent June 24 elections which were dubiously declared in favour of Maada Bio. Ukraine’s President only congratulated Sierra Leone for the non-permanent seat election at the United Nations. That was all Bio got when they met in Saudi a few days ago. The illegal Sierra Leone Maada Bio meeting with the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in Al-Ahsa in Saudi Arabia for the Food conference was expecting congratulatory messages from Ukraine for his disputed re-election. That was not to be because Ukraine will never betray other Western democracies which have conspicuously refused to recognise Maada Bio’s illegitimate SLPP regime. It was another international slap in the face of Maada at the Saudi Arabia summit. Little did the electoral thief from Sierra Leone Maada Bio know that his Ukraine counterpart would not congratulate him despite holding talks later with the Sierra Leone delegation to discuss food issues among other things. Western democracies will not recognise an undemocratic nation like Sierra Leone under Maada Bio and the lack of kudos from the Ukrainian President was expected considering that its main financial backer the United States does not recognise Maada Bio’s stolen June 24 victory. It is sensible that President Zellenskky will not bite the finger that feeds his nation.

Meanwhile, President Zelenskyy only extended his congratulations to Sierra Leone for its election to the United Nations Security Council by expressing confidence that Sierra Leone will continue to support Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. They discussed Ukraine’s “#PeaceFormula” and updated Maada Bio on the recent meeting held in Malta and emphasised the importance of consolidating support for their vision of peace across African states and regional platforms.

The second International Conference on Food Security and Environmental Sustainability has ended in Al-Ahsa, the Saudi Press Agency reported on Wednesday. The event, organised by King Faisal University, emphasised the importance of international cooperation in technical research and development. Local and international specialists came together to examine the realities and challenges of food security, as well as develop strategies for environmental sustainability.
