It was on this historic Human Rights day that Concern Sierra Leoneans mobilised patriotic citizens in Sierra Leone to stand up for their rights and to ask the corrupt Electoral Commission for Sierra Leone ECSL officials to produce the June 24, 2023 disaggregated elections data.

A few days before the peaceful protest, the idiotic Freetown Mayor, who always smiles like a pregnant rabbit, went secretly to the market women at the famous Abacha Market and other markets in the city to convince them not to protest against the ECSL Chairman Mohamed Konneh for their elections data. Traitor Aki-Sawyerr disgracefully bribed the gullible market women and even threatened that they would be arrested if they dare protest on Universal Declaration of Human Rights Day. Aki added that she would not free them from detention if the unelected President Julius Maada Bio’s brutal police arrest them.

As a result, the scared market women who had already planned to protest on December 10 immediately changed their minds for fear of their lives and security. The Abacha Market women never showed up to protest, thereby reducing the number of protesters on Tuesday, December 10, 2024.

The organisers of the peaceful protest were unhappy but not surprised at the betrayal of Aki-Sawyerr, the Freetown Mayor who likes to parade herself around the world as a champion of women’s rights and as democrat and human rights campaigner. In reality, Aki-Sawyerr has proved to be an enemy of Sierra Leoneans.

Unforgivable to see the sell-out and selfish Aki-Sawyerr backing the SLPP dictator and illegal President Bio, who stole last year’s elections from the real winner Dr Samura Kamara of the APC. Voters could not believe the once admired politician Aki-Sawyerr – also an APC member – could betray Dr Samura Kamara, the man who helped her win the Mayoral job.

The APC Executives led by the most deceitful APC official National Chairman Minkailu Mansaray and his Deputy Osman Yansaneh and other top APC criminals had colluded with the unelected President Maada Bio to prop up the corrupt SLPP regime against the wishes of the people’s choice Dr Samura Kamara. Thank God, electoral justice shall triumph.
