If Mohamed Kamarainba, who has been unjustly imprisoned for nearly four years, can still speak boldly on the critical issues affecting our country despite his unfortunate predicament, it is deeply troubling that the current main opposition party (APC) is instead fixated on baselessly blaming Dr Samura WM Kamara while playing a defensive role for the Bio-led regime. This behaviour is both uncalled for and highly unfortunate. Many are left asking: Where is the opposition? Why do they remain silent in the face of all the pressing challenges confronting the nation? Recently, the bloated wage bill, which has been weighing heavily on our consolidated budget, continues to cripple our already battered economy. The silence from the opposition at such a time is deafening.

What makes it so difficult for the current national executive to work jointly with Dr Samura in the quest to restore democracy and reclaim the stolen mandate by Bio and Mohamed Konneh? Why is it so challenging for the national APC executive to uphold and defend our sacred constitution, specifically Article 7(h) of the APC 2022 Constitution, which underscores the key principle of winning and sustaining power through democratic means?
