Negative Remarks by Disgraced APC Publicity Secretary Sidi Yahya Tunis Reflect Betrayal of the APC & Leader Dr Samura

News

Biareh Kamara

4 August 2024

Sidi’s remarks, aimed at discrediting Dr Samura Kamara, reflect a level of betrayal reminiscent of historical figures such as Pontius Pilate and Judas Iscariot.

To the Nation of Sierra Leone – Recent statements made by Sidi Yahya Tunis, the Public Relations Secretary of the All Peoples Congress Party (APC), have caused a significant stir within our political landscape. His remarks, aimed at discrediting Dr Samura Kamara, reflect a level of betrayal reminiscent of historical figures such as Pontius Pilate and Judas Iscariot. In this context, it is essential to address and debunk these allegations, presenting a clear defense of Dr Kamara’s pursuit of electoral justice. (Photo: Sidi is an APC traitor).

  1. Unilateral Actions and Party Consensus

Sidi Yahya Tunis has accused Dr. Kamara of acting unilaterally against the wishes of the party. This allegation fails to recognize the imperative of strong leadership in moments of crisis. Political philosopher Niccolò Machiavelli emphasized that decisive action is sometimes necessary for the greater good, even if it temporarily disrupts established norms. Dr. Kamara’s actions are not a deviation from the party’s values but an effort to uphold justice and integrity within our electoral system.

  1. Re-run of the 2023 Election

The claim that the re-run of the 2023 election was only mentioned in the annexure of the tripartite recommendations and cannot be taken seriously is a gross misrepresentation. The call for a re-run stems from a fundamental need to ensure that electoral outcomes reflect the true will of the people. Political theorist John Stuart Mill argued that true democracy must be safeguarded by protecting the integrity of its electoral processes. Dr. Kamara’s insistence on this point is a commitment to democratic principles, not an act of rebellion. (Photo: APC hierarchy).

  1. Attendance at Pre-dialogue Meetings

Accusations that Dr. Kamara attended a meeting prior to the dialogue without notifying the party undermine the necessity of strategic planning in high-stakes negotiations. The dynamics of political strategy often require a degree of confidentiality and discretion, as articulated by Edmund Burke, who recognized that leadership involves navigating complex and often confidential terrains to achieve the greater good.

4 Commonwealth Representation

It has been claimed that Dr. Kamara called the Secretary General of the Commonwealth not to attend the dialogue sessions in Sierra Leone, yet there was a full representation of the Commonwealth at these talks. This is a deliberate mischaracterization of Dr. Kamara’s intentions, which were to ensure that the dialogue was conducted in a manner that would yield tangible results for electoral justice. The presence of the Commonwealth representatives underscores the importance of international oversight in upholding electoral integrity.

  1. Unauthorized Joint Speech

The joint speech between Dr. Kamara and the Chief Minister, which was purportedly not sanctioned by the APC, represents a collaborative effort to address national concerns beyond partisan lines. Philosopher Jean-Jacques Rousseau advocated for the general will, the collective good that transcends individual or party interests. Dr. Kamara’s actions align with this philosophy, seeking unity and collective progress for Sierra Leone.

  1. Address to the Nation and Grassroots Mobilization

Dr. Kamara’s address to the nation, urging grassroots, ward, constituency, district, regional, and other stakeholders to join him in the fight for electoral justice, was not an act of insubordination but a rallying cry for democratic integrity. As Hannah Arendt noted, the essence of politics lies in the collective action of citizens. Dr. Kamara’s call to action is rooted in this principle, empowering the people to stand up for their democratic rights. (Photo: Dr Samura Kamara).

The accusations that Dr. Kamara did not attend meetings called by the National Advisory Council (NAC) to explain his stance on electoral justice are part of a broader ploy to tarnish his reputation. These actions by certain leaders within the APC are a disservice to the party’s legacy and a betrayal of its foundational values. To further substantiate Dr. Samura Kamara’s position, it is pertinent to highlight insights from prominent political philosophers who have underscored the importance of justice, integrity, and leadership in political life.

Niccolò Machiavelli emphasized in “The Prince” that leaders must sometimes take decisive actions that may not align with the immediate preferences of their peers but are essential for the long-term stability and justice of the state. Dr. Kamara’s actions are a testament to this principle, showcasing his dedication to ensuring a fair and just electoral process. John Stuart Mill, in his work “On Liberty,” argued that the protection of democratic processes and the integrity of elections are paramount to the functioning of a true democracy.

By advocating for a re-run of the 2023 election, Dr. Kamara is upholding these essential democratic values, striving to ensure that the true voice of the people is heard and respected. Edmund Burke recognized the complexities of political leadership and the necessity of strategic decision-making. Burke’s reflections on leadership and governance support the notion that Dr. Kamara’s participation in pre-dialogue meetings was a strategic move aimed at fostering an environment conducive to genuine electoral reform.

Jean-Jacques Rousseau l, in “The Social Contract,” articulated the concept of the general will, where the collective interest of the people must guide political actions. Dr. Kamara’s joint speech with the Chief Minister reflects a commitment to the general will, transcending party lines to address the broader interests of the nation. Hannah Arendt, a political theorist known for her work on the nature of power and democracy, emphasized that political action is inherently collective. (Photo: Maada Bio).

Dr. Kamara’s call for grassroots mobilization aligns with Arendt’s belief in the power of collective action, empowering citizens to actively participate in the fight for electoral justice. In light of these philosophical perspectives, it becomes clear that Dr. Samura Kamara’s actions are deeply rooted in a commitment to democratic principles and the pursuit of justice. It is crucial for the members of the APC and the broader Sierra Leonean community to recognize and support these efforts, rejecting any attempts to undermine or mischaracterize his dedication to our democratic ideals.

The move to conduct membership registration and the National Delegate Conference (NAC) to choose leaders at various levels and the presidential candidate is an essential democratic process. However, it should not be used as a tool to side line or discredit leaders like Dr. Kamara, who are fighting for electoral justice. Instead, these processes should be inclusive and transparent, reflecting the true will of the party members and the broader electorate.

In conclusion, Dr. Samura Kamara’s fight for electoral justice is a noble and necessary endeavor, grounded in the fundamental principles of democracy and fairness. It is our collective responsibility to support this cause and ensure that our political processes reflect the true aspirations of the people of Sierra Leone. I remain in the cause, Dr Biareh Kamara.

UN Appearance Means Zero; The Bios’ Illegality Remains at the UN; Brutes Like Gaddafi Spoke at the UN; Next Minute He was Killed; Sierra Leoneans, Don’t Worry

The United Nations is designed to always allow every Jack and Jill in its midst; dictators, tyrants, despots, killers, evil forces, often attend, but their hatred & illegitimacy still remain. Bloodthirsty and illegal President Julius Maada Bio and his mob-justice wife, Fatima Jabbe Bio, are classic examples of dictators known to member states of the United Nations and the world. But as the UN never bans tyrants, the Bios can still appear, but it makes no difference at all. Honest history has taught us one salient fact about attendees at the United Nations General Assembly. Not everyone who attends or addresses the UN General Assembly summit is loved or recognised as legitimate, democratic or a decent human being. Despite the immense freedom to attend the UN, many world leaders are reluctant to appear at the UN summit in New York for security reasons, mainly. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda, President Vladimir Putin, and Kim Jong-Un of North Korea are examples.

Marathon Race Ends Soon: New ECOWAS President General Diop from Senegal Takes Over from Gambian Traitor Touray; Real Work Began Yesterday

The real work of the newly refreshed Economic Community of West African States ECOWAS has commenced following the official handing over yesterday in Abuja. It was a milestone for West Africans and the world yesterday to witness the handover of power from the Gambian traitor, Dr Omar Alieu Touray, to General Birame Diop at the new ECOWAS Commission Headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria. The Commission held the formal welcome and send-off ceremony for incoming and outgoing statutory appointees and Heads of ECOWAS Institutions, following the completion of the former leadership’s four-year tenure. It was during the historic event that General Birame DIOP of Senegal officially assumed office as the new President of the ECOWAS Commission, amid applause, succeeding Dr Omar Alieu Touray of The Gambia. Since President Bassirou Faye of Senegal succeeded the useless, unfit, and illegal Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio as ECOWAS chair on July 19, 2026, in Lungi, Sierra Leone, very little has been done to move the rejuvenated ECOWAS forward.
