And because of Bio’s undisclosed riches stashed in secret hideouts around the world, all Maada Bio is craving for at the moment is to have international recognition so that his illegal SLPP regime would govern for another five years and beyond in one partyism. Today, the rife-corruption in high places has depleted the country’s reserves to an all-time low. In the travel front, Maada Bio continues to jet from one part of the world to the other primarily to get international recognition. Bio knows that without international recognition, his illegitimacy would hasten his departure from State House faster than the speed of light because he knows that every worthy national and international elections observers continue to accuse Bio of stealing the June 24, 2023 elections from the real winner Dr Samura Kamara.

What some Sierra Leoneans do not know is that Maada Bio being one of the richest men in the world is only interested in getting global recognition rather than to get financial donations or grants from world bodies. As a politician, there is no politician worldwide who is richer than the illegal Sierra Leone President. Poverty-stricken citizens in Sierra Leone are obviously feeling the pinch as a result because of the systematic plundering of state resources committed by the Bio presidency in the last six abysmal years of misrule and bad governance.

Today, without the knowledge of so many Sierra Leoneans, the multi billionaires Maada Bio and his mob justice wife Fatima Jabbe Bio own a private jet they are using two to three times a month to travel around the world. No one should fall for the crap that the plane Maada Bio is often seen shuttling overseas in is a chartered flight. No way. Bio can fool some people but not all the people. The hefty salaries and per diem his Caucasian pilots are earning in each flight schedule is no child’s play. The peoples’ money stolen by Bio is footing these bills including the exorbitant landing fees at airports around the world. Beside Bio’s expensive speed boat costing millions of dollars secretly berthed in the Atlantic Ocean a few miles from State House, Maada and his stinking rich wife Fatima Jabbe Bio have hidden billions of foreign currencies for a rainy day in far away Lebanon, Turkey, China, and Uganda and of course in Gambia, home of Fatima Jabbe. So in reality, money is no problem for the Bios and the top ranking SLPP government officials who had served since April 4, 2018. There is no single SLPP Minister and Department and Agency head who is not having at least a million dollars cash secretly stashed somewhere inside or outside Sierra Leone.

When Maada Bio took power six years ago billions and billions of US dollars flooded into the country to beef up the Bio presidency. Being a recognised regime at the time, Bio and his SLPP thieves received billions of dollars and pound sterling from foreign countries and institutions for developmental purposes. But the monies were siphoned into private bank accounts instead of using it to develop the nation. Take, for instance, the 13.5 billion US dollars from World Bank alone given to the Bio’s regime for the development of education in Sierra Leone. Not a single school building or toilet was built by Bio’s corrupt regime from that World Bank cash.

The criminal SLPP bandits shared the World Bank money among themselves with Bio taking almost all of the 13.5 billion dollars loot for himself. Just imagine, that was only from the World Bank. What about the billions from the IMF and other financial international institutions that disappeared into thin air? With all that colossal sums of money stashed secretly, why do you think Maada Bio would consider the pittance 480 million dollars from the Millennium Challenge Corporation MCC? He would not for cash sake. Bio only wants global recognition by receiving the MCC money. That’s all.

Many would say Bio being a multi billionaire is unrealistic only intended to smear his image. It is not. Bio is actually a multi billionaire. Where did all the donations gone since 2018? What about the 2.5 billion dollars funds for the Covid-19 pandemic? And the World Bank donation of 13.5 billion dollars meant for developing education in the country. Where is that money gone? In truth, the Bio presidency never spent a cent in developing the nation. These monies found its ways into the wallets and purses of corrupt SLPP government officials led by Maada Bio. In reality, Maada Bio is not actually interested in the MCC cash. He is more interested in getting international recognition and receiving congratulatory messages from world leaders and institutions in order for his illegitimate SLPP regime to have legitimacy rather than just receiving the MCC money. Bio believes getting the MCC cash is a clear indication of global recognition of his electoral thievery regime. This administration has demonstrated a stunning level of ineptitude and gross mismanagement, squandering openings that could have helped stabilised our economy. Instead, they have drained the nation dry, acting as political vampires who feed on the lifeblood of Sierra Leone’s prosperity. Their failure to harness the resources at their disposal for the benefit of the people is a stark disloyalty of the public trust. The country’s foreign reserves are virtually empty, making it hard to pay for imports which are usually priced in US dollars.  Balance of payment deficit swung to its highest since at least the first quarter of 2002. They are now asking the IMF for a New Bailout Programme. The size of debt is now almost 80% of the total annual value of our economy. However, if past experience is anything to go by, any cash injection from the IMF will not solve the country’s long-term economic problems.
