It would definitely be the greatest blunder of Maada Bio if he stubbornly disagrees to allow Ernest Koroma to travel today. Sierra Leone’s former President Ernest Bai Koroma is expected to leave for Nigeria today as requested by the Economic Community of West African States ECOWAS. But from the look of things the obstinate and stupid SLPP President has openly rejected the call by ECOWAS for Ernest Koroma to temporally resettle in Abuja. The imminent rejection by the Bio presidency to the ECOWAS request was confirmed yesterday by the SLPP Foreign Minister and International Cooperation Timothy Kabbah. He said that his government did not however countenance the content of the said letter and added:  “Because it is a unilateral proposition by the President of the ECOWAS Commission. The letter does not reflect the meeting President Bio held recently in Freetown with his colleague West African leaders and the President of the ECOWAS Commission.

“So we will not countenance it,” Timothy Kabbah arrogantly noted yesterday. According to the ECOWAS letter dated January 2^nd, 2024, Ernest Koroma, who was charged with treason yesterday in Freetown, was to be flown to Nigeria today January 4, with all legal and administrative procedures against him dropped and for Ernest Koroma to keep his full entitlement as a former and revered President of Sierra Leone.

ECOWAS demands for temporary relocation of the former President Koroma to Abuja is significant along with the discontinuation of all legal and administrative procedures against Ernest as agreed by Maada Bio himself together with the two African leaders who recently visited Sierra Leone. Also, Maada Bio should continue to disburse to Ernest his benefits as former president. The letter added that the Bio presidency should secure all the residences of Ernest in all locations. Finally, the Bio regime will consider refunding medical and travel expenses that Ernest had incurred.

Yesterday, Ernest was granted bail after he was ridiculously charged with treason. This is the first time a treason suspect has been granted bail any where in the world! It just exposes the fakery in the Bio colony. Maada Bio is doing all this shenanigan tactics to distract the Tripartite Investigators from carrying out the vital investigations into the fraudulent June 24, 2023 elections which he publicly stole from the real winner Dr Samura Kamara of the APC party. No amount of distraction would stop the Tripartite to continue, Maada Bio has been warned.

Ernest Koroma’s Lead Defence Lawyer JF Kamara Esq Described the Treason Charges as Trumped Up

BBC Umaru Fofana reporter twitted thus – Lawyer for the former Sierra Leone President, Ernest Bai Koroma, has reacted strongly to the treason charges levelled against his client. Lawyer Joseph F Kamara told me that they were “shocked and in utter disbelief”, adding that “a dangerous precedent has been set”. Speaking to me in court just after Ernest Koroma had been charged with four counts, Kamara said: “A dark cloud has shadowed the skies of our country by dragging a former Head of State who was democratically elected, on trumped up charges under a political vendetta”.  The state alleges that Ernest Koroma, who led Sierra Leone for two five-year terms, was involved in an attempt to overthrow the government on 26 November.
