England Survive Scare Against Slovakia to Book Spot in Euro 2024 Quarter-Finals; PM Sunak: “It’s Not Over Until It’s Over”

News

a press release

1 July 2024

Slovakia scored in the first half of the Euro 2024 match in Gelsenkirchen, Germany yesterday but Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane rescued England.

England survived a scare to book their place in the quarter-finals at Euro 2024 after beating Slovakia 2-1 in extra-time. Gareth Southgate’s team fell behind in the 25th minute when Ivan Schranz put Slovakia into a shock lead and they looked to be heading out of the tournament as the game went into injury time. However, Jude Bellingham produced a moment of brilliance to score a stunning equaliser with seconds to spare and send the last-16 tie to extra-time. (Photo: Jude’s goal).

Captain Harry Kane put England in the lead early in the first half of extra-time and they held on, despite some nervy moments. Bellingham told reporters the team’s success may spur them on in the rest of the competition and described his goal as “one of the most important moments of my career so far”. England looked disappointing in the first half and at half-time, manager Gareth Southgate failed to make any changes. (Photo: PM Sunak celebrated).

In the second half, however, England got closer with two attempts to score, although Phil Foden’s goal was disallowed by VAR and Declan Rice’s shot came off the post.  Southgate’s side now faces Switzerland in the Euro 2024 quarter-final on Saturday. Were they to reach the last four, they would then play in a semi-final on Wednesday 10 July.

‘It’s not over until it’s over’: England gives Rishi Sunak hope of glorious comeback

After England’s glorious last-minute comeback – Rishi Sunak has sent a message to the country as he tries to snatch victory from the jaws of defeat in this general election. England gives Sunak hope of a glorious comeback… Rishi Sunak is far behind in the national polls – just as England were trailing Slovakia in the Euros last-16 match. (Photo; Kane and Jude).

But just minutes before the full-time whistle, Jude Bellingham executed a stunning overhead kick to take the game to extra time – and the PM is probably hoping some similar magic can be worked in the closing days of this general election campaign. He has tweeted that “it’s not over until it’s over” – which England certainly proved this evening…

UN Appearance Means Zero; The Bios’ Illegality Remains at the UN; Brutes Like Gaddafi Spoke at the UN; Next Minute He was Killed; Sierra Leoneans, Don’t Worry

The United Nations is designed to always allow every Jack and Jill in its midst; dictators, tyrants, despots, killers, evil forces, often attend, but their hatred & illegitimacy still remain. Bloodthirsty and illegal President Julius Maada Bio and his mob-justice wife, Fatima Jabbe Bio, are classic examples of dictators known to member states of the United Nations and the world. But as the UN never bans tyrants, the Bios can still appear, but it makes no difference at all. Honest history has taught us one salient fact about attendees at the United Nations General Assembly. Not everyone who attends or addresses the UN General Assembly summit is loved or recognised as legitimate, democratic or a decent human being. Despite the immense freedom to attend the UN, many world leaders are reluctant to appear at the UN summit in New York for security reasons, mainly. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda, President Vladimir Putin, and Kim Jong-Un of North Korea are examples.

Marathon Race Ends Soon: New ECOWAS President General Diop from Senegal Takes Over from Gambian Traitor Touray; Real Work Began Yesterday

The real work of the newly refreshed Economic Community of West African States ECOWAS has commenced following the official handing over yesterday in Abuja. It was a milestone for West Africans and the world yesterday to witness the handover of power from the Gambian traitor, Dr Omar Alieu Touray, to General Birame Diop at the new ECOWAS Commission Headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria. The Commission held the formal welcome and send-off ceremony for incoming and outgoing statutory appointees and Heads of ECOWAS Institutions, following the completion of the former leadership’s four-year tenure. It was during the historic event that General Birame DIOP of Senegal officially assumed office as the new President of the ECOWAS Commission, amid applause, succeeding Dr Omar Alieu Touray of The Gambia. Since President Bassirou Faye of Senegal succeeded the useless, unfit, and illegal Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio as ECOWAS chair on July 19, 2026, in Lungi, Sierra Leone, very little has been done to move the rejuvenated ECOWAS forward.
