EJ Fighter Mr Moriba Bailed Yesterday; Bravo to Rapid Hunt Unit, SLAM, Dr Samura’s Office, Media Bloggers & Others for Moriba’s Liberty
Quick Summary
Mr Mohamed Moriba, the fearless social media activist, is a free man, thanks to Dr Samura Kamara’s Office, SLAM, Media Bloggers, Rapid Hunt & others.
And a big shame on the APC leadership led by the evil Chairman Osman Foday Yansaneh for disgracefully throwing their own APC PRO Bo District, Mr Mohamed Moriba, under the bus. The sell-out APC executives aided the violent SLPP regime of Bio to punish Mr Moriba. (Photo: Brave EJ fighter Mr Moriba, Mrs Moriba and lead lawyer Akim).
Yesterday, there was joy all over as news filtered through the wires that the gallant social media activist and electoral justice EJ campaigner, Mr Mohamed Moriba, has been granted bail in Freetown High Court after months of unnecessary imprisonment at the notorious Pademba Road Prisons.
Smiling from detention, and mobbed by family members, friends, patriotic APC party members, Mr Moriba was seen walking gigantically like a true warrior to freedom amid the relief and satisfaction of all true EJ campaigners inside and outside Sierra Leone. Several efforts from so many internal and external stakeholders had positively contributed to the release of Mr Mohamed Moriba, whose silence on social media and the APC PRO role has been felt by millions of Sierra Leoneans in and outside the country.
The deafening silence from Mr Moriba was exactly what the illegal SLPP/Paopa regime had wanted, and indeed, the barbaric Bio regime succeeded in keeping the popular APC media activist Moriba completely mute since his unlawful arrest and detention months ago.
However, Mr Moriba’s name was never silent because his media colleagues and many pressure groups fought tooth and nail 24/7 to blast the lawless SLPP regime and violent gamic police for carrying out Mr Moriba’s detention on the usual ‘orders from above’. (Photos: Mr Moriba freed yesterday. And Mr Foday Turay, left).

The fearless Mr Moriba had always been a thorn in the flesh of the illegal Bio presidency for stealing the June 24, 2023, elections. And after the broad daylight robbery in 2023, Mr Moriba and his media colleagues continued to pound Bio’s tiny brain.
Such ferocious pounding angered the Paopa militias, and many electoral justice campaigners were arrested and detained, including Mr Mombassa, Mr Red Nice Man, singer Zainab Sheriff, and many innocent citizens who are still incarcerated behind bars.
Mr Moriba, granted bail yesterday, looked thinner but agile and well. Massive thanks to all the good Samaritans who helped in cash and kind, namely the Global Rapid Hunt Unit, the Sierra Leone Advocacy Movement SLAM, Dr Samura’s Office, etc., to assist Mr Moriba in the hour of need. Others who contributed in no small way to free Mr Moriba include the Office of Dr Samura Kamara, the members of the Council of APC Media Bloggers Home and Abroad led by APC Malaka Duplicate and the other council led by MK20.
At the centre of the midfield is Mr Foday Turay, the ever-present special assistant who was present during the court proceedings and witnessed the granting of bail to the media soldier Mohamed Moriba. Mr Foday Turay played a pivotal role in helping Moriba’s family.
“Freedom is needed now for the others, including Mr Mombassa, Mr Nice, singer Zainab Sheriff, and others who are in prison for no justifiable reason,” Alhaji MS Bangura, CEO of Global Rapid Hunt Unit based in Germany, told the Organiser newspaper yesterday. (Photo: Mr Tejan, right, embraces Mr and Mrs Moriba).

Tremendous thanks and appreciation go to the lead lawyer, Mr Akim, and the top politician and Electoral Justice campaigner, Mr Momoh Vandi, aka MOV, who was also present in the High Court to see the granting of bail to Mr Moriba, the hero of the South East. Kudos to Mr Tejan, Deputy Chair Dr Samura’s Office.
Sources say Mr Moriba’s bail conditions are very flexible. He is allowed to travel anywhere in the country and even abroad. The bail condition, however, added that in the event the High Court wants Mr Moriba to appear and fails, he would be fined 50 million leones. Mrs Moriba says thanks to everyone.
