ECOWAS & UNOWAS’s Goal Now: Secure Sierra Leone First Before Power Transfer; Bio Travels Only with ADC; Power Slipping Away

News

Abu Shaw London

29 January 2025

Unlike in previous times when the unelected Sierra Leone President Maada Bio has a bloated travel list, today Bio travels only with his ADC.

This is because Bio’s powers are slipping away. As for the transfer of power, the only holdup now is the fragility of the security situation in the country. ECOWAS and UNOWAS are poised to tighten the security situation first and foremost before the transition of power occurs. After staying home for nearly three months without travelling abroad due to the tightening of the travel ban, the embattled and illegal President Maada Bio has suddenly started feeling the pinch that power is slipping away as his usually bloated travel manifest list has been cut down to size.

The unrecognised President Bio has since then travelled with a very small entourage but, one cannot even call it an entourage anymore, because of the smallness of his delegation. And frankly, Bio only travels with his wife and ADC today. (Photo: UNOWAS Chief Santos Simao and AU President Faki, right).

During Bio’s first visit abroad to Scotland recently after his longest spell staying at home, Maada Bio travelled to meet King Charles 111 with his wife Fatima Jabbe Bio and his ADC and another official only. They were four in all plus the four pilots which made it eight in total.

That is how tiny Bio’s travel list has reduced in recent months. This is unlike the massive manifest travel list he used to have in previous travels numbering around 30 to 50 per diem travellers. It means that Bio’s power has diminished greatly thanks to the travel sanctions imposed on him by the international community.

That is why Sierra Leoneans should be optimistic that transfer of power is underway and it will happen very shortly when the country is properly secured. Presently, ECOWAS and UNOWAS are working tirelessly to improve the security in the country before the President-Elect, Dr Samura Kamara, is inaugurated.

UN Appearance Means Zero; The Bios’ Illegality Remains at the UN; Brutes Like Gaddafi Spoke at the UN; Next Minute He was Killed; Sierra Leoneans, Don’t Worry

The United Nations is designed to always allow every Jack and Jill in its midst; dictators, tyrants, despots, killers, evil forces, often attend, but their hatred & illegitimacy still remain. Bloodthirsty and illegal President Julius Maada Bio and his mob-justice wife, Fatima Jabbe Bio, are classic examples of dictators known to member states of the United Nations and the world. But as the UN never bans tyrants, the Bios can still appear, but it makes no difference at all. Honest history has taught us one salient fact about attendees at the United Nations General Assembly. Not everyone who attends or addresses the UN General Assembly summit is loved or recognised as legitimate, democratic or a decent human being. Despite the immense freedom to attend the UN, many world leaders are reluctant to appear at the UN summit in New York for security reasons, mainly. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda, President Vladimir Putin, and Kim Jong-Un of North Korea are examples.

Marathon Race Ends Soon: New ECOWAS President General Diop from Senegal Takes Over from Gambian Traitor Touray; Real Work Began Yesterday

The real work of the newly refreshed Economic Community of West African States ECOWAS has commenced following the official handing over yesterday in Abuja. It was a milestone for West Africans and the world yesterday to witness the handover of power from the Gambian traitor, Dr Omar Alieu Touray, to General Birame Diop at the new ECOWAS Commission Headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria. The Commission held the formal welcome and send-off ceremony for incoming and outgoing statutory appointees and Heads of ECOWAS Institutions, following the completion of the former leadership’s four-year tenure. It was during the historic event that General Birame DIOP of Senegal officially assumed office as the new President of the ECOWAS Commission, amid applause, succeeding Dr Omar Alieu Touray of The Gambia. Since President Bassirou Faye of Senegal succeeded the useless, unfit, and illegal Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio as ECOWAS chair on July 19, 2026, in Lungi, Sierra Leone, very little has been done to move the rejuvenated ECOWAS forward.
