Bio’s Madness: Global Partners Very Much Interested in Ernest Koroma’s Police Invite and Samura at Anti-Corruption
Quick Summary
The international community is showing keen interest in the ongoing Julius Maada Bio’s madness for forcing the former President to face a police probe.
‘Maada’s Madness’ is a title that perfectly fits the characterisation of the illegal Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio who has caught the eyes of the development partners for the surprise invitation of former President Ernest Bai Koroma to help the police in their investigations regarding the dubious November 26, 2023 coup, a position that many political observers have discounted as a fake coup.
The arraignment of the APC leader Dr Samura Kamara to the Anti-Corruption has raised more eyebrows. A top diplomat could not understand the logic behind the indiscriminate arrests, and detentions of officials of the main opposition APC party. Situations have taken a dramatic turn for the worse in Sierra Leone after the disputed June 24, 2023, general and presidential elections which Maada Bio publicly stole from the actual winner Dr Samura Kamara of the APC.
Maada Bio’s distractions would only delay the Tripartite Investigations Committee but would not stop the ongoing electoral process in probing the fraudulent June 24 elections, which Maada Bio stole publicly with the connivance with the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone chairman Mohamed Kenewui Konneh. It saddens peace-loving Sierra Leoneans to see compatriots arrested, detained and killed in cold blood for no justifiable reasons.
The Tripartite Investigations Committee set up to probe the fraudulent June 24, 2023 elections have unsettled Maada Bio into smithereens. That is why the Bio presidency is creating all kinds of troubles to divert attention from the Tripartite Committee. More details are as follows on the Appeal Court forcing Ernest Koroma to pay a hefty fine and the APC leader Dr Samura Kamara referred to the corrupt SLPP Anti-Corruption Commission –
Former President Koroma Forced to Pay US$135,000 to the Illegal SLPP Regime
