Bio Confesses in New York: “The Fight is Tough, But I Will Soldier On, I Blame David Francis, Others for Failing to Assist My Fight”
Quick Summary
From New York City where the illegal Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio and his failed SLPP caboodle are at the moment, things have fallen apart.
The SLPP centre cannot hold, mere anarchy is loosed upon Sierra Leone, borrowing the popular quote from the Nigerian novelist, poet Chinua Achebe of Things Fall Apart, his first novel and magnum opus. ”Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world. ” In this line, Yeats is not not talking about anarchy in the sense of Anarchism, the political stance. He is instead referring to an uncontrollable chaos. Sierra Leone today is no exception. (Photo: Bio’s efforts to look for international recognition backfired in New York).
Maada Bio confessed that the ongoing fight to persuade global partners to allow his SLPP regime to rule is getting very tough made. This confession was made to his close associates and top-ranking SLPP officials. “Almost an insurmountable problem,” Maada noted. The twisted political desperado Maada Bio reportedly revealed that he is disappointed in some top SLPP members especially those who served in high positions like Dr David Francis, the former Chief Minister; Jacob Jusu Saffa, former Finance Minister and so on.
Bio has secretly accused them of sitting quietly abroad without lifting a hand to help him in the fight. It is understandable why Maada Bio has lost confidence in achieving his desire to get international recognition in order to remain in power. This is because everything is going bad against him and his illegal regime. From the Tripartite Committee recommendations in Freetown to the final recommendations submitted to the United Nations Security Council by the Australian legislator and head of the Tripartite Secretariat Kate Sullivan, things are bad. (Photos: Maada Bio networked during his dinner but got a very negative response from the UN officials. And Dr Samura Kamara, the real winner of the June 24, 2023 elections).

Not to mentioned the tough stance being taken by the UN Security Council by strictly instructing the Economic Community of West African States ECOWAS to do everything in their power to supervise and monitor the fragile situation in Sierra Leone and most significantly to fully implement the Tripartite Recommendations including both the 80 Reforms agreed upon by both SLPP and APC parties and the Contentious Issues or Electoral Justice inserted by APC.
When Bio visited New York to occupy the ceremonial chairmanship of Sierra Leone at the UN Security Council, little did he know that his presence would make no positive impact on the big beasts at the UN. Bio had orchestrated an unusual dinner to lure the top UN officials on his side in an apparent attempt to change their minds about Electoral Justice but Bio faced a stonewall as the Electoral Justice pressed on by the APC leader Dr Samura Kamara is favourable on the UN table.
Also, the tough position taken by the United States President Biden to defend democracy in Sierra Leone is a real blow to Bio’s aspirations to stay in power. The ECOWAS Mission Sierra Leone ECOMISIL is expected to deploy soldiers in Sierra Leone because of strict instructions from the UN and US. Reports say around 5,000 ECOMISIL soldiers will be based at the Lungi ECOMISIL Depot and 1,200 mechanised battalion troops will be deployed at the ECOMISIL Headquarters in Murray Town/Aberdeen axis in Freetown. (Photos: ECOWAS Chiefs of Staff met in Abuja. And Bio went to Burkina Faso to lure Junta leader Captain Ibrahim Traore to support him).

The other two bases will be Hastings Town and Kerry Town selected as strategic bases to house the ECOMISIL soldiers whose arrival in the middle of September has uplifted the spirits and enthusiasm of the suffering Sierra Leone electorates who were robbed of their priceless votes last year. Kerry Town is located about 31 kilometres (19 miles) from the capital, Freetown, which lies to the west-north-west. And Hastings Town lies approximately 15 miles east of Freetown.
Most Sierra Leoneans are happy that the ECOMISIL troops will land in Sierra Leone in mid-September to defend democracy and to supervise the Tripartite recommendations in full. Today, ECOWAS has received the full amount US$2.5 billion dollars as expenses to facilitate the deployment and sustainability of the West African forces. In New York, Bio thought his continued bribery and corruption agenda would lure global partners but at the end, the UN remains impenetrable.
One distinguishable asset being exhibited by Maada Bio is his ability to lie and mislead his gullible supporters in Sierra Leone and around the world. Bio knows the difficulty he is facing to overturn the elections thievery of June 24, 2023 but he is deceptively crawling on to misinform the SLPP/Paopa supporters and giving them false hopes that SLPP will rule for another term. But inwardly, Maada Bio and his corrupt SLPP bandits know the whole truth that the global partners and most people in Sierra Leone do not want Bio’s regime anymore.
