The SLPP/RUF rebels are a household name in Sierra Leone and abroad for the wrong reasons. Who doesn’t know that the deadly RUF rebels, secretly formed and sponsored by the SLPP oldies – most of whom still inflict mayhem under the barbaric regime of the illegal President Bio – are an evil cult? RUF still exists in smart suits as a disguise.

At the recently concluded SLPP Party 2025 National Conference in Freetown, the murderous RUF pioneers slyly handed over the mantle of SLPP party governance to the next generation of RUF youngsters, led by Jimmy Battillo Songa, now the new brutal SLPP National Chairman, replacing killer Dr Prince Harding, aka Bullet.

Members of the new SLPP leadership were the same teenage boys who made up the deadly Small-Boy Units faction of the RUF’s deadly machine in the early nineties. The Battilo Songas and the like killed so many innocent Sierra Leoneans despite being teenagers at the time.

Today, the members of the Small-Boy Units of the RUF rebels have graduated into violent adults, the killing machine presently wearing expensive smart suits as politicians in the place of the rag-tagged RUF ronkos embroiled in cowry shells of the 90s.

The old SLPP grandees who pioneered the deadly RUF rebels are today remotely controlling the violent-oriented Bio presidency at the detriment of the majority of innocent Sierra Leoneans. And the young RUF brutes have diligently vowed to carry on the brutality against the electorates.

Luckily for the people of Sierra Leone, democracy and constitutional rule shall be restored shortly after the President-Elect, Dr Samura Kamara, has been sworn in. And the young RUF governors shall be squeezed into the corner, thereby dismantling their killing machines.

The deadly role played by the RUF pioneers, namely Alie Kabba, Maada Bio, Lawrence Leema and others, will never be allowed to go on, as the next stage of RUF executioners selected at the SLPP National Convention at the Bintumani Hotel in Freetown shall be stopped.

As the countdown to the swearing-in ceremony of the President-Elect, Dr Samura Kamara, gains momentum, the international community has put strict judicial mechanisms in place to deal with anyone who augments electoral injustices, rights violations, crimes against humanity, etc, in Sierra Leone.

Meanwhile, the reasons put across by the south-easterners who boycotted the 2025 SLPP National Convention in Freetown are reasonable. They blame Maada Bio for destroying their lives, spreading diseases and hunger and popularising cocaine in the country, etc.

Most of the SLPP members from Kenema, Kailahun, Kono, Bo, Pujehun, and Moyamba boycotted the SLPP Convention, the first of such public snubs. “We are tired of Bio’s destructive nature since 2018,” an anonymous SLPP Grassroots leader from Bo District said.
