Sierra Leoneans still remember the former American Ambassador David Reimer who masterminded the Peace and Unity Dialogue that born the Tripartite. Who is Reimer? Remember, ex-President Trump appointed David Reimer on June 10, 2020 as Sierra Leone envoy.

This clearly shows that the US policy on democracy would never change, no matter who occupies the highest office in America. Confirmed reports have intimated that the illegal Bio regime wants the Democrat candidate Kamala to lose the November 5 polls. Bio believes the Kamala presidency would not legitimise his SLPP regime, in continuation of the Biden snub.

Confirmed reports say the beleaguered Maada Bio has contracted some top US lobbyists who have reassured him that a Trump victory would help the SLPP to get international recognition without delay. Foreign affairs experts believe Maada Bio has been duped again into believing that a Republican government would betray democracy in Sierra Leone.

Why would Bio believe the US position on foreign affairs, especially where democracy is concerned, will change if a new government is elected? Has the SLPP regime forgotten that the former US Ambassador David Reimer was the one who set the Tripartite ball rolling in the aftermath of the fraudulent June 24, 2023 elections which Maada Bio stole publicly?

Reimer told the press that his departure would make no difference because the United States government would not change as far as foreign policy regarding democracy and the rule of law are concerned. David Reimer advised that a new US Ambassador would come in with a different style of operations, but the US policy will remain the same. Today everyone is seeing how US envoy Bryan David Hunt is operating.

The SLPP regime is really hanging a thin thread if they believe that the victory of the Republicans would pave the way for the Bio presidency to get international recognition. The days of Bio are truly over. Trump, who is neck and neck with Kamala in the swing States, might win the elections. But that would be bad news for African dictators like Maada Bio.
