Armed SLPP Thugs Invaded APC’s Last Press Conference; Was It an Assassination Attempt?
Quick Summary
Well-armed SLPP thugs assigned to the Presidential Lodge were seen at the entrance of the APC Head Office during the last press conference on Tuesday.
The Presidential Guards stormed the APC building on Tuesday, October 3, 2023, without any invitation. What was their intention? Was it another assassination attempt on the lives of the APC leader Dr Samura Kamara and other top APC hierarchy members thwarted? On Tuesday during the APC Press Conference held at the APC head office on Old Railway Line in Freetown, another possible assassination attempt by Julius Maada Bio’s SLPP thugs was foiled. It occurred shortly after the press conference at the APC Head Quarters at Old Railway Lines Freetown had ended. This unprovoked appearance of the Presidential Guards armed to the teeth is a serious cause for concern for the security of the APC leader. Eyewitnesses say, all of a sudden, a group of well-armed men dressed in military and police uniforms, stormed the party environs. The APC leader Dr Samura Kamara and the other APC big guns were still on the premises when the Bio bandits carrying heavy weapons alighted on Tuesday. The commotion outside the massive building alerted the National Secretary General lawyer Lansana Dumbuya who came downstairs to confront the SLPP thugs. Bystanders and APC supporters say when the APC Scribe Dumbuya arrived he asked the SLPP thugs why were they at the scene. They replied that they were there to control the street traffic. Holding a bag full of tear gas cannisters, the SLPP thugs were asked by the brave lawyer Dumbuya to vacate the APC premises. Reluctantly, the Kamajor thugs left the perimeter of the building but their presence reminded the APC officials and supporters of the last assassination attempt on Dr Samura Kamara on June 27, 2023, three days after the chaotic June 24, 2023 elections which Maada Bio stole. Sierra Leoneans still remember the gruesome scenes at the APC Head Quarters in June when two APC members were gunned down by Presidential Guards on the orders of President Julius Maada Bio. The first victim was White Boy who was shot to death in front of the APC head office and the next victim was the party Nurse Matron Mahawa who was shot to death inside the offices while a press conference was going on. Dr Samura Kamara and other top APC hierarchy were also present at the moment. Luckily, this week, the Presidential Guards armed to the teeth were prevented from entering the building and from firing tear gas.
