The International Criminal Court ICC in The Hague last month issued a historic letter of invitation to the illegitimate Sierra Leone leader Julius Maada Bio for a meeting slated for today in New York, a sideshow to the annual United Nations General Assembly UNGA summit. Chief Prosecutor of the ICC Mr Karim AA Khan KC will play host to Maada Bio regarding a vital petition complaint presented to the ICC by Concerned Sierra Leoneans Worldwide pertaining to serious accusations of crimes against humanity committed in Sierra Leone since April 4, 2018, the Bio presidency. It is left to Maada Bio to accept or reject the allegations made against him by Concerned Sierra Leoneans Worldwide on behalf of all the victims in Sierra Leone.

Whatever the situation, whether Maada Bio meets the ICC Chief or not, the fact that the dreaded ICC has invited Maada Bio (a so-called sitting President) to a meeting in New York is indicative of the low esteem by which Maada Bio is held in the aftermath of the chaotic June 24, 2023, general and presidential elections which he stole publicly in connivance with the crook Chairman of the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone ECSL Mr Mohamed Kenewui Konneh. To be precise, on August 14, 2023, Concerned Sierra Leoneans Worldwide made history when the ICC physically received the petitioners led by International Criminal Lawyer Dr Alfred Venod Fullah in Den Haag. Four days later, the ICC responded positively by inviting Maada Bio for a meeting and the invitation gave optimism to all patriotic Sierra Leoneans who had longed for justice for the victims of the crimes against humanity. There is light at the end of the tunnel for adjudication. Today is the day for Maada to meet the ICC boss.

Meanwhile, the illegitimate and jittery Sierra Leone leader Maada Bio is believed to have got the services of three top criminal lawyers who will accompany him to the ICC meeting today. Why lawyers for a mere invitation meeting? As the wise often say ‘The Guilty are Afraid.’ Sierra Leoneans are very delighted that the ICC is squeezing the bloodthirsty SLPP President Bio for crimes committed under his watch. Bio is noted for keeping silence on all these atrocities against his own people.
