And pretending not to have any influence whatsoever in the proceedings of the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone ECSL is a monumental deception of the highest grandeur. Even kindergartens know that Maada Bio has absolute control, remotely and directly, of the ECSL working machinery on a daily basis. The Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone ECSL was and is still simply implementing what Maada Bio wants i.e. to rig the June 24 elections by any means necessary and to refuse to release the actual results. And that was precisely what the ECSL led by Bio’s Mende brother Mohamed Kenewui Konneh had done and continues to do. Everyone is aware of the ECSL’s continuous trickery and deception that metamorphosed into declaring Maada Bio as the eventual winner thereby denying the rightful winner Dr Samura Kamara from claiming his victory. So for the Liar-in-Chief Maada Bio to lie that ECSL was independent and had no hands in its operational daily duties is a big white lie. Bio forcefully imposed his Bo Schoolmate Konneh, also a diehard SLPP party card holder, on the people of Sierra Leone without following due process. From start to finish, ESCL, and other corrupt internal stakeholders, had manipulated every step of the way from the chaotic Mid-Term Census and voter Registration process to the printing of ghost Voter ID Cards, to disenfranchising voters from the north and northwest, to incorrect counting and incomplete tabulations of the voter results, to the dubious declaration of the June 24 elections results and so on. Mr Konneh did everything to satisfy his paymaster Maada Bio. It was therefore no surprise that not a single international institution or nation has sent congratulatory messages or recognition to Maada Bio’s regime. Even the locally based National Elections Watch NEW comprising dozens of organisations led by Madam Marcella Samba-Sesay had refuted the ECSL results. Why has the entire world refused to recognise Bio? There is a reason why the African Union, ECOWAS, European Union, United States, United Kingdom, Carter Centre, the Irish Aid, etc. have described the June 24 elections as lacking transparency and accountability. All these international and national election observers have demanded the ECSL release the results District by District but the ECSL on the strict orders of Maada Bio has so far refused to release the June 24 election results. Maada Bio has simply exposed his con game and proved to both internal and external stakeholders that he is a celebrated liar and to do it in front of the international community in the US is not surprising. Blaming the US government and global partners for interference in the Sierra Leone elections is indicative of Bio’s sly game tactics rather than taking full responsibility for the mess Sierra Leone is experiencing today. Sanctions have been imposed on the Bio regime ranging from financial, and travel bans etc. Sierra Leone is at a stalemate.
