Bio Never Got Extension from Moral Guarantors; Dec 2026 Date is for 80 Reforms Only, Not for 5 Divergent; No Elections in 2028
Quick Summary
The SLPP celebration for the December 31, 2026 date is short-lived. Today, the Paopas are disappointed knowing full well that Bio’s days are numbered as he stole 2023.
The joyous Paopa behaviour is fruitlessly short-lived because the blind SLPP supporters clearly misunderstood the international moral guarantors’ decision to slot in the December 31, 2026 date to give time for the full implementation of the tripartite electoral reforms. (APC traitors Kaifala Marah and Osman Yansaneh posed with Aja Fatoumata, and Ms Barrie Freeman).
Just a few hours after the international moral guarantors from ECOWAS, UNOWAS and the Commonwealth had released a joint press statement dated April 20, 2026, the vigilance of the patriotic social media bloggers and journalists took to the airwaves to counter SLPP lies.
The intensity of clearing the air paid dividends as the December 31, 2026, date was properly explained to the public, which eventually punctured any hope garnered by the blind SLPP supporters. By contrast, the electoral justice fighters initially sad suddenly became joyous.
The clarification is simple. The December 31, 2026, brought in by the moral guarantors was not an extension for the SLPP regime of the illegal President Julius Maada Bio, as the Paopas are claiming. Rather, it is a leeway for the full implementation of the electoral reforms. (Photo: Moral guarantors Aja, Barrie and Lal with APC and SLPP officials).

In other words, the December 31 date signed by the ECOWAS lead Aja Fatoumata Jallow-Tambajang from Gambia, the UNOWAS Deputy Special Representative Ms Barrie Freeman from the US, and the Deputy Secretary for the Commonwealth Mr Tanmaya Lal from India was primarily for the 80 electoral reforms.
The explanation has clarified that the December 2026 date is not meant for the divergent views, i.e. the 4 suggested by the APC party leader Dr Samura Kamara, plus the 1 view brought about by the conclusive position of the international community.
What are the 4 divergent views all about? They are the most important tripartite recommendations the people of Sierra Leone are waiting for, as they are centred on the restoration of democracy. When implemented, the President-elect, Dr Samura Kamara, will take power.
Read the 4 divergent views. First, the APC made it clear that it won the June 24, 2023, elections. Secondly, if the SLPP said no, then a re-run would be conducted. Third, the ECSL officials must be replaced, and fourth, the global partners must conduct the elections and not the ECSL. (Photos: Maada Bio and Dr Samura Kamara).

Note that this APC position on the divergent views was suggested before the conclusion of the tripartite agreement. Today, the 4 divergent views presented by the President-elect, Dr Samura Kamara, are solid, especially with the inclusion of the 85th view presented by the global partners.
Moreover, it is important to clarify that there will be no elections in 2028, even though the 1991 Constitution of Sierra Leone says the 5-year term is lawful. That is to say, because the last election was held in 2023, the next will be in 2028, according to the 1991 Constitution.
This is the argument being put forward by the Maada Bio 2028 agenda idiots. But in reality, taking into account the present political transition and the 85 tripartite recommendations, it is highly unlikely that the 2028 date is plausible for any future elections.
This is because Maada Bio is not recognised as President, so his tenure since 2023 is not considered authentic. Simply put, when the President-elect, Dr Samura Kamara, is given his throne, his term of office will begin afresh. As a result, the 2028 SLPP date is redundant and unrealistic.
