Comprehensive Civic Report on Failed APC Meeting at Attouga Stadium Yesterday by Social Media Activists and Patriots
Quick Summary
The visibly low turnout at the Brima Attouga Kamara Mini Stadium yesterday was not accidental but a deliberate expression of public disapproval of APC.
The gathering at the Brima Attouga Mini Stadium yesterday was convened to address a series of political concerns and public frustrations that have been building across Sierra Leone. What unfolded was not merely a meeting but a vivid display of public sentiment, political tension, and the growing divide between party executives and the citizens they claim to represent. Throughout the day, a wide range of speakers, observers, and ordinary Sierra Leoneans shared their perspectives, offering a mosaic of reactions that collectively painted a clear picture of the national mood. Key Messages from Principal Speaker Dr Sesay opened with a strong affirmation of Dr Samura Kamara’s character, describing him as a consistently non‑violent and peace‑oriented leader. He argued that the visibly low turnout at the Brima Attouga Mini Stadium was not accidental but a deliberate expression of public disapproval. According to him, the people of Sierra Leone have already demonstrated where their confidence lies: they believe they voted for Dr Samura Kamara, and they continue to see him as the figure capable of safeguarding the nation’s stability and future.
Mr Warisay, Electoral Justice Spokesman, reinforced this interpretation, stating that the day’s events sent a clear and unmistakable message. The public’s refusal to participate in the meeting at Brima Attouga Mini Stadium in Freetown reflected a deep and ongoing trust in Dr Samura Kamara. He described the atmosphere as a referendum of sorts – not organised, but naturally expressed through the people’s absence. The people of Sierra Leone believe that they voted for Dr Samura Kamara, and many people disassociated themselves from the illegal APC leadership.
A Market Woman’s Reaction – A market woman passing by the stadium expressed genuine surprise at seeing the APC holding a meeting and discussing Agenda 2028, while this executive knew they had won on 24 June 2023. She openly questioned the purpose of the gathering, saying she did not understand why it was happening or what the organisers hoped to achieve. Her confusion echoed the sentiments of many ordinary citizens who felt disconnected from the event. (Photo: Poor Kaifala Marah wandered in an empty stadium).

Social media blogger Salone Borbor was physically present at the stadium, observing the mood, the turnout, and the reactions of those who came only to watch rather than participate. APC’s Wurie described the day as a positive one for Sierra Leone, not because of the meeting itself, but because the people had spoken through their actions. He reaffirmed the commitment of supporters who continue to pray for and stand with Dr Samura Kamara. He also noted that traffic from Calaba Town was usually congested, with many people and vehicles on the road – a sign that the public was active and aware, even if they chose not to enter the stadium. From his vantage point inside the stadium, he observed individuals such as Med Kay and others, but he concluded that their plans – which he described as “diabolical”- had failed.
Public Dissatisfaction and Community Reactions – Social media activist Pendragon clarified that the situation was not caused by illegal APC executives, but he noted that many individuals at the venue appeared frustrated, emotional, and convinced that foul play had taken place. He described the atmosphere as tense and disorganised, reactions from LAJ’s Community. In the neighbourhood where LAJ’s music manager resides, many people expressed disappointment. They felt that their mission – whatever they had hoped to achieve – had been disrupted and derailed by the unfolding events.
Young Man Barbatov spoke openly, and confidently, stating that he witnessed the full force of Sierra Leoneans. Sell-out People’s Power blogger was at the Brima Attouga Mini Stadium. According to him, the public made it clear that any political agenda for 2028 that does not include Dr Samura Kamara is already doomed to fail, and Dr Samura Kamara is not ready to join any 2028 agenda because he believes that he is the winner of the 24 June 2023 elections with a landslide victory netting 57.15%.
People’s Power admitted that Dr Samura Kamara is the most popular politician in Sierra Leone, and that without Dr Samura Kamara onboard, APC is not going to win a future election. He also reported that many individuals refused to enter the stadium because they believed the APC executives had failed them. Some even claimed that APC leaders were planning to meet Dr Samura Kamara privately to apologise. There were a lot of security personnel at the Brima Attouga Stadium; their motive was to create unrest in the stadium and the entire country.

Additional contributions from participants by the sweet voice of North West Alhaji – He thanked the moderator, Mrs Sesay, and all participants for their presence and engagement. He declared that no one “born of a woman” would be able to distract from the mission of restoring democracy in Sierra Leone. General sentimental speakers repeatedly emphasised that the purpose of the gathering was not to destroy the APC or seek personal recognition. Instead, they wanted to inform the people of Sierra Leone that the party’s current leadership was not acting in the best interests of the nation. And this meeting was to create an atmosphere that would distract and destroy the restoration of democracy, which is a fruitless endeavour for the APC leadership. Historically, grassroots supporters were the backbone of APC meetings, but on this occasion, those same grassroots refused to cooperate and attend the meeting, a symbolic rejection of the party’s direction.
Commander Kabelai said that although he was not physically present, he reported that many people went to the stadium simply to observe who was there and what would be said, rather than to participate. For his part, social media blogger Mr Flenor expressed appreciation for everyone involved and stated that the events at the stadium clearly demonstrated widespread dissatisfaction with the APC executives. The people of Sierra Leone were sending messages to so-called leaders that their mind games were over.
Media activist, the African Teacher, explained that his aides advised him not to attend the meeting inside the Brima Attouga Mini Stadium, suggesting safety concerns. Public reaction, he said, several observers stated that the people of Sierra Leone were deeply disappointed with the APC executives for ignoring the outcome of the 24 June 2023 election. Many felt that the party leadership had abandoned the will of the people. The African teacher said one individual called and asked me to make an audio recording regarding the Brima Attouga Mini Stadium. I got up and went on to create a six‑minute audio message reflecting on the meeting and comparing it to a previous gathering, though the exact date of the earlier event was unclear. (Photo: Dr Samura Kamara is the only solution).

Giant blogger Mr Red thanked everyone for the opportunity to speak, but said he was in pain and could not stay long. His brief appearance underscored the emotional weight many supporters carried. ‘Dr’ APC Malaka stated that he was not inside the stadium but remained two to three miles away. He explained that he has followed politics since 2007 and had been informed that the meeting was planned five days earlier. Based on the statement we received, Ernest Bia Koroma was the one who originally organised and financed the meeting.
According to him, a late‑night meeting was held at 2 am, but the plan ultimately failed because the public refused to attend. Comments Attributed to Maada Bio – There were claims that Maada Bio expressed disappointment with the turnout from the southeast and might question the resources spent on the event. These comments, if accurate, reflect internal frustrations within the political landscape.
Closing remarks by social media blogger Ambassador Alie – He thanked all who participated in the WhatsApp group today, 31/01/2026, to discuss the meeting and encouraged continued engagement. Bloggers and commentators stated that they gathered out of respect for Dr Samura Kamara and out of love for the people of Sierra Leone. They emphasised that their role was to document, analyse, and amplify the voices of ordinary citizens. Mr Fadika Factor thanked everyone, including Mr Sesay, and reminded the group of a powerful truth: People may forget what you say or do, but they will never forget how you made them feel.
Conclusion – The events at the Brima Attouga Mini Stadium on 31 January 2026 revealed a profound disconnect between APC executives and the citizens they sought to mobilise. The low turnout, the emotional testimonies, and the widespread expressions of disappointment all pointed to a public that feels unheard and unrepresented. Across testimonies, one theme remained consistent: many Sierra Leoneans continue to place their trust in Dr Samura Kamara, and they used this moment to express that belief clearly and powerfully.
