Electoral Thief Maada Bio Rudely Stormed Out of the State House After EU Sweeteners Ended & Statement on Transition Began
Quick Summary
Sierra Leone’s illegal President Julius Maada Bio disgraced himself at the State House meeting in front of the international community on Tuesday.
The electoral thief, Bio, rudely walked out of the State House after the European Union EU sweeteners and niceties on new investment proposals ended, and the vinegar statements on the transition of power began. Bio’s face looked like thunder when EU stated the latter. (Photo: Bio’s yellow seat vacant after he stormed out).
Maada Bio and the SLPP cohorts initially nodded approvingly and even applauded the European Union’s opening statements on democracy and the new investment plans for Sierra Leone. It was clear that Bio and his SLPP ministers expressed delight when the EU made the above statement.
However, their happiness turned sour after the EU stated the vinegar or bitter side of their statement regarding the transition of power. Smiles and approvals metamorphosed into despair and hopelessness. The faces of Bio and SLPP ministers looked thunderous.
The illegal President Bio suddenly stood up and looked at the EU diplomats and then stormed out of the meeting, feeling betrayed by the European Union guests who touched on the vinegar side of the statement, i.e. the political transition and electoral justice. The vinegar or bitter side of the EU statement clearly mentioned the immediate implementation of the political transition of power emanating from the 85 Tripartite Recommendations. And it should be done on time as soon as the latest deadline is reached. The EU delegation was led by Mr Olof Skoog, Deputy Secretary General for External Action, and six other EU Ambassadors from Nigeria, Senegal, etc.
Shocked and panic gripped Maada Bio and his SLPP ministers present, namely SLPP Chief Minister Dr David Sengeh, SLPP Foreign Minister Timothy Musa Kabbah, SLPP Justice Minister Sesay and others when the EU stated the inevitable, i.e. political transition.
The State House atmosphere became tense, silent like a cemetery after the EU dropped the bombshell. The initial smiles and applause stopped. Before Bio stormed out, diplomatic sources say Bio reacted rudely by raising his voice and standing up while others were still sitting.
Still standing, Bio blurted: “But you never told me about this initially, and in fact, it is not in the programme.” But the EU officials respectfully reacted by drawing Bio’s attention to the programme in front of everyone, where ‘Other Matters’ for discussion were inserted. As Maada Bio walked out of the meeting, even the SLPP ministers were baffled, irritated and confused. But they were still sitting as their leader, Maada Bio, stormed out so rudely. Bio’s misbehaviour actually upset the EU representatives present, reports have confirmed.
The disgraceful drama at State House by the illegal President Bio was good news for the people of Sierra Leone, whose votes in the June 24, 2023, elections were publicly stolen by bad Sierra Leoneans who are aiders and abettors of the corrupt SLPP regime of Maada Bio.
The good news for the Sierra Leone 2023 voters is that the EU and the rest of the international development partners reiterated at the State House meeting that the transition will go on as planned, whether Maada Bio and the SLPP regime like it or not.
Meanwhile, it has been confirmed that the meeting will continue as the last one did not conclude because of Bio’s AWOL shame, even though the transition documents were handed over to the SLPP Chief Minister, David Sengeh. Dr Samura Kamara shall be sworn in shortly.
