Sierra Leone is Today the Unhappiest in Africa & Second Most Unhappy Nation Worldwide; Transition Shall Bring Happiness

Quick Summary

Sierra Leone is in a very sorrowful state amid painful reports that the country has the highest degree of unhappiness and pain in the Africa and the world. The most pathetic situation engulfing Sierra Leone today is the making of the unelected President of Sierra Leone, Julius Maada Bio. This description is the best one can use to describe Sierra Leone under the misrule and autocratic reign of Maada Bio. It is the worst in the last 21 months. In the Global 2025 World Happiness Report, Sierra Leone is placed disgracefully on the bottom steps of the happiness ladder. On the world stage, Bio has plunged the country into the second-to-last happiness spot among the 147 nations in the world. Most citizens do not smile anymore. Hunger, disease, cocaine and mass murders have taken over their lives thanks to Bio. On the African continent, Sierra Leone has the highest degree of happiness. Sierra Leoneans, being the unhappiest people, have come as no surprise in cognisance of the dastardly regime of Bio, whose reign since April 4, 2018, has degenerated the country into the abyss.

Most citizens do not smile anymore. Hunger, disease, cocaine and mass murders have taken over their lives thanks to Bio. The unhappiness of the majority of Sierra Leoneans has reached an all-time low in the last year and nine months of Bio’s illegal presidency that emanated from the broad daylight robbery of the June 24, 2023, elections led by Bio and the Electoral Commission.

Fortunately for Sierra Leone, the imminent transfer of power to the legitimate winner of the 2023 elections, Dr Samura Kamara, would change the pathetic situation in the country. It is a shameful but correct episode presently facing compatriots as the unhappiest people on the planet. Most citizens do not smile anymore. Hunger, disease, cocaine and mass murders have taken over their lives thanks to Bio.

A special reporter reported: “Sierra Leone has become the second-to-last unhappiest nation globally and the most unhappy country in Africa out of the 147 nations. In the Global 2025 World Happiness Report, Sierra Leone is the least happy nation in the world.

“The Report is based on data using happiness factors such social support, life expectancy, freedom and corruption. Sierra Leone’s low ranking reflects the economic struggles, weak social services and government challenges.

“Meanwhile, Finland remains the happiest country in the world in eight consecutive years,” the 2025 report concludes. Meanwhile, the blame for the unhappiness index is put squarely on the doorstep of the useless and electoral thief president Bio.

ECOWAS Summit Update: Cocaine Bio is Scared of Handing the ECOWAS Chair to Senegal President Faye; Bio Prefers Anglophone to Francophone Successor!

The illegal Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio, who publicly stole the June 24, 2023 general and presidential elections, is a confused man today. Cocaine King Maada Bio is not only disoriented and jittery at this point when ECOWAS commissioners are in Freetown for the 69th summit, but Bio’s SLPP regime is entirely on the brink of causing more confusion within the ECOWAS commission. The illegitimate Sierra Leone President Bio is shamefully dragging his feet over the handing over of the ECOWAS chairmanship to the rightful individual, in the person of Senegalese President Bassirou Faye, who should have got it since last year when Bio bribed to get it. Diplomatic sources have hinted that Maada Bio, the current ECOWAS chairman who dubiously secured the position last year by bribing Nigerian President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, is not planning to transfer the ECOWAS chair to President Faye. ECOWAS leaders are expected in Freetown on July 19, 2026.

EBK’s Fake Freedom Won’t Distract EJ Win; His Arrest for Betraying Democracy Looms; Tinubu Happy to See EBK’s Back; Hope He Returns Sooner to Face Citizens

The fake freedom suspiciously arranged for Ernest Bai Koroma EBK is not only a fruitless distraction, but EBK’s immediate return will suit 2023 voters. It is a massive trump card indeed, especially for electoral justice campaigners who will eventually see judicial revenge for those who undermine the June 24, 2023, general and presidential elections. EBK is obviously the first accused and chief architect of selling the 2023 votes to his cocaine paymaster, Julius Maada Bio. That is why the dubious freedom dished out to cruel EBK by the electoral commander-in-thief Julius Maada Bio is wholeheartedly welcomed by electoral justice EJ fighters whose main ambition is to restore democracy and to put on trial the betrayers of the people’s mandate. At first glance, it is clear that EBK’s recent freedom, granted by the corrupt SLPP and APC parliamentarians, is a high-class trap for him. The dramatic overturning of the ridiculous treason charge against EBK in parliament, rather than in the High Court, is a monumental blunder, deception and distraction.
