The Arrival of the West African President Shall Signal End of Bio and Ushering in the Peaceful Democratic Transition of Power
Quick Summary
Patriotic Sierra Leoneans are presently holding their nerves in bated breath for the imminent arrival of the President of a West African country.
The name of the President, expected shortly in Sierra Leone, cannot be disclosed for diverse reasons. What can be disclosed, however, is the arrival of the said President shall signal the end of the state power held by the unelected President Julius Maada Bio. Most importantly, the coming of the President in question would immediately facilitate the transfer of power to the legitimate winner of the multi-tier elections on June 24, 2023, Dr Samura Kamara. No specific date has been slated for the imminent arrival of the West African leader.
His arrival will surely happen, without a shadow of a doubt anytime. The significance of the unnamed president’s arrival cannot be underestimated. Sierra Leoneans should know that the President’s presence in the country shall be the turning point for democratic rule. (Photos: President-Elect Dr Samura Kamara and illegal President Maada Bio).

What will take place when the President arrives would be historic, as the peaceful democratic transition of power will bear sweet fruits. Therefore, the waiting game is nearly over even though everyone is advised to be extremely patient but ready to celebrate freedom.
Today, one hitch remaining for the winner of the June 24, 2023 general elections to take over State House, the seat of power, is the arrival of the unnamed president who is coming on behalf of the ECOWAS Commission and UNOWAS.
Reports say, every document for the peaceful transfer of power in Sierra Leone has been signed and sealed with the blessing of the international community. “The people need to wait and be patient. It would happen anytime from now,” a source from Abuja noted. (Photos: ECOWAS Chair President Tinubu & UNOWAS Chief Leonardo Santos Simao, centre).

Competent information has it that the unnamed president will first visit the ECOWAS headquarters in Abuja before arriving in Freetown to continue the implementation of the transition of power in Sierra Leone as planned.
It could be recalled that the Liberia President Joseph Boakai was the last ECOWAS emissary to visit Freetown to advise the illegal President Bio to do the right things. More diplomatic visits were made later to Maada Bio, widely believed to have agreed to hand over power.
Bio is still trying to find ways and means to inform his gullible SLPP/Paopa supporters about the transition of power even though he is pretending that nothing is happening regarding electoral justice. “The game is over,” the Abuja source reiterated last night.
