ECOWAS Forces to Deploy in Sierra Leone for Democracy as AU and Regional Blocs Sign the Historic Memorandum of Understanding in Egypt; Happy Times

By Abu Shaw London

Happy times are ahead for Sierra Leoneans as Economic Community of West African States ECOWAS finally got the green light to restore democracy. Way is clear for the deployment.

Not only the manpower, morale, and military gadgets’ rights to deploy, but also the Memorandum of Understanding MOU signed in Egypt on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026, has crossed the legal hurdle to give absolute legal rights to ECOWAS Standby Forces to deploy in Sierra Leone. The exact date for deploying ECOWAS peacekeepers in Sierra Leone is unknown, and the number of soldiers expected to deploy is also unknown. Each ECOWAS member state is expected to contribute, one way or the other, its own quota to the Standby Force to settle at the Lungi Logistics Depot.

In reality, the biggest economies such as Nigeria, Ghana, and Senegal will contribute larger quotas of soldiers to beef up the ECOWAS forces. This is fantastic news for the majority of Sierra Leoneans whose votes were stolen by Julius Maada Bio in the June 24, 2023 elections. The deployment of the forces, according to the dictates of the MOU, was signed by all the Regional Blocs in the African Union, a great feat to stabilise African countries that face national risks through bad governance and electoral thievery, like Sierra Leone, among other heinous crimes such as terrorism and drug trafficking.

Tremendous strides have been taken by the new ECOWAS Chairman, President Bassirou Diomaye Faye of Senegal, since he succeeded the cocaine Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio on July 19, 2026, in Freetown. The ECOWAS President, General Ebrima Diop, also from Senegal, signed the MOU.

In Sierra Leone, preparations have been going on for months now for the welcoming ceremony of the deployment of the ECOWAS Standby Force. Many strategic sites have been developed to welcome the peacekeeping forces of the West African sub-region. (Photo: Visitors from the EU and UN visited the Lungi Depot recently).

The headquarters of the ECOWAS Standby Force is at the Logistics Lungi Depot, not far from Lungi International Airport. Recently, foreign visitors from the international community inspected the Lungi ECOWAS Logistics Depot and endorsed the visit as successful.

A few months ago, three strategic sites were chosen and prepared for the ECOWAS deployment. The Hastings Airport, the Kerry Town site, and the Murray Town Aberdeen Axis site, all in Freetown, were prepared and developed to welcome the ECOWAS Standby Forces.

However, the illegitimate President Maada Bio and his wicked cronies inside the SLPP party and in the APC party (previously an opposition party but now sadly collaborating with Bio to destroy democracy) are visibly irritated and unsettled. They hate the ECOWAS deployment. (Photo: President-elect Dr Samura Kamara and ECOWAS Chairman President Faye of Senegal).

Nevertheless, the majority of suffering Sierra Leoneans who voted in the landslide victory for the president-elect Dr Samura Kamara in the 2023 polls are praying and yearning for the arrival of the ECOWAS Standby Forces, apparently to usher in democracy and freedom in Sierra Leone.

Sierra Leoneans and Africans thank the African Union for bringing in its Regional Blocs such as ECOWAS, the Economic Community of Central African States ECCAS, the North African Regional Capacity States NARC & Southern African Development Community SADC to sign the MOU for deployment.

UN Appearance Means Zero; The Bios’ Illegality Remains at the UN; Brutes Like Gaddafi Spoke at the UN; Next Minute He was Killed; Sierra Leoneans, Don’t Worry

The United Nations is designed to always allow every Jack and Jill in its midst; dictators, tyrants, despots, killers, evil forces, often attend, but their hatred & illegitimacy still remain. Bloodthirsty and illegal President Julius Maada Bio and his mob-justice wife, Fatima Jabbe Bio, are classic examples of dictators known to member states of the United Nations and the world. But as the UN never bans tyrants, the Bios can still appear, but it makes no difference at all. Honest history has taught us one salient fact about attendees at the United Nations General Assembly. Not everyone who attends or addresses the UN General Assembly summit is loved or recognised as legitimate, democratic or a decent human being. Despite the immense freedom to attend the UN, many world leaders are reluctant to appear at the UN summit in New York for security reasons, mainly. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda, President Vladimir Putin, and Kim Jong-Un of North Korea are examples.

Marathon Race Ends Soon: New ECOWAS President General Diop from Senegal Takes Over from Gambian Traitor Touray; Real Work Began Yesterday

The real work of the newly refreshed Economic Community of West African States ECOWAS has commenced following the official handing over yesterday in Abuja. It was a milestone for West Africans and the world yesterday to witness the handover of power from the Gambian traitor, Dr Omar Alieu Touray, to General Birame Diop at the new ECOWAS Commission Headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria. The Commission held the formal welcome and send-off ceremony for incoming and outgoing statutory appointees and Heads of ECOWAS Institutions, following the completion of the former leadership’s four-year tenure. It was during the historic event that General Birame DIOP of Senegal officially assumed office as the new President of the ECOWAS Commission, amid applause, succeeding Dr Omar Alieu Touray of The Gambia. Since President Bassirou Faye of Senegal succeeded the useless, unfit, and illegal Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio as ECOWAS chair on July 19, 2026, in Lungi, Sierra Leone, very little has been done to move the rejuvenated ECOWAS forward.
