Bio’s Isolation Continues; New SLPP Foreign Minister Rahman Swaray, on Familiarisation Tour, Snubbed by Foreign Diplomats as Transition Nears
Quick Summary
The new SLPP Foreign Minister Mohamed Rahman Swaray has been shamefully rejected by the no-nonsense foreign ambassadors in Sierra Leone as Maada Bio’s isolation unfolds.
This latest information reaching the Organiser newspaper confirmed that the international community has boldly snubbed the advances of the SLPP’s new Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Minister, Mr Mohamed Rahman Swaray. (Photo: New SLPP Foreign Minister rejected).
This latest diplomatic rejection of the former RUF/Kamajor Foreign Minister Rahman Swaray is the first time it has happened in Sierra Leone’s diplomatic relations. The international development partners are fed up with the illegality of Julius Maada Bio’s SLPP regime.
The new SLPP Foreign Minister Rahman Swaray, who was the former Labour and Social Security SLPP Minister and Information and Communications SLPP Minister, was appointed to the new role last week when Bio’s reshuffle mind games sacked Timothy Kabbah. Diplomatic snobbery has reared its ugly head twice in the last few days after the hammer fell on Bio’s illegal regime during the recent Opening of Parliament when foreign ambassadors conspicuously refused to attend the House of Parliament for the opening session. That isolation of Bio’s regime was a serious signal.
Now, the global partners who are disgusted with the dictatorial tendencies of Bio, who stole the June 24, 2023 multi-tier election from the real winner Dr Samura Kamara, are tightening the screws on the illegal SLPP regime, which signals the imminent restoration of democracy.
The good news is that at any time from now, the political transition of power will take place. The fact that the international community, through its diplomats, is snubbing the Bio regime is a clear indication that the days of Maada Bio are coming to a close.
Normally, any newly appointed Foreign Minister should always familiarise himself or herself with the diplomatic corps. But in this case, Rahman Swaray was conspicuously disappointed when the foreign envoys rejected meeting him. This is a vital message that isolates Bio’s regime. Electoral Justice has won the battle and the war.
