Too much embarrassment for Julius Maada Bio has forced his illegal SLPP regime to hide the second letter recently written to him by the no-nonsense ICC. According to ICC sources, this second invitation is just an invitation and it is not an indictment of Maada Bio and his violent SLPP cronies. Upon appearing at the ICC in The Hague in the not-too-distant future, Maada Bio and his SLPP cronies would be formally charged with crimes if there were substantial pieces of evidence to prove the crimes against humanity case. It is important to note that this second letter to Bio is similar to that sent to the former Liberia President Charles Taylor. Hours after the end of the 78th United Nations General Assembly UNGA in New York last week, the ICC immediately wrote Maada Bio to inform him about the imminent allegations against his regime that would lead to trial. The Special Court for Sierra Leone SCSL established under the auspices of President Ahmad Tejan Kabbah’s SLPP regime, is expected to resume in Sierra Leone ostensibly to try Maada Bio and all his cohorts suspected of committing heinous crimes since April 4, 2018, when the SLPP government took power.

Reliable sources have intimated that a trial will take place in Den Haag and in Sierra Leone very soon. As usual, the Bio presidency is yet to acknowledge the receipt of the second ICC letter. The Bio presidency is so irritated that they are hiding the second letter from their supporters. But the ‘Man Dem Inside De Man Dem Man Dem’ had got wind of the second letter that ICC had recently sent. The first letter from ICC in August 18, 2023, was hidden by the Bio presidency but after the letter was leaked on social media, they came out eventually to accept the receipt of the invitation letter.

All these ICC letters of invitation were ignited after the Concerned Sierra Leoneans Worldwide protesters had demonstrated in The Hague on August 14, 2023. Today, the majority of Sierra Leoneans are happy that those who bear the greatest responsibility for crimes against humanity will face justice. The victims at Pademba Road Prison, the Makeni massacre, the Lunsar killings, the Tombo, Thonko Limba, and Mile 91 killings among others will get justice. The families of the late social media activist Evangelist Samson real name Hassan Dumbuya will also get justice. Most Sierra Leoneans would welcome these trials to get proper justice.

Moreover, this imminent ICC trial will involve cases as far back as the 90s for the pioneers of the deadly civil war by the RUF bandits. Today, these same RUF criminals like Alie Kabba and Maada Bio, etc. are still in power while the victims and their families of these heinous crimes are living in pain. The whole world, especially the Western democracies has not recognised the illegal Bio presidency because the SLPP connived with the Electoral Commission of Sierra Leone ECSL of Mohamed Konneh to steal the June 24, 2023 elections. First Letter from ICC: Bio and His Lawyer were the Only Persons Allowed in the Interrogation Room with the Chief Prosecutor

Almost two weeks after the first letter that was been served to President Bio, by the International Criminal Court ICC, sources in the USA have intimated that a second letter has been served to President Bio on his desk recently while in the USA. The ICC is the judicial wing of the UN which came into being by the promulgation of the Rome statute in 1998 and is charged with the responsibility of bringing justice to ALL those who commit war crimes against humanity. Similar to the first letter which merely requested a meeting of the prosecutor and President Bio and according to the second letter, sources outlined the grave human rights abuse committed under the Bio government watch and the letter is forewarned and thoroughly armed with specific details of incidences and offenses committed from 1992 to 2023. During the pre-meeting moment, Bio was given ample time to prepare himself way ahead of the ICC interview. This attracted several media outlets which shared a common concern noting that the government of President Bio had hired the services of an international lawyer to be by with Bio whilst in the interrogation room.

The ICC attempted to present all particulars of offences by those who masterminded the human rights violation following the waves of a series of protests held at the ICC headquarters in Holland in The Hague last month. Whilst still in ICC facilities, the protesters drew attention to the deteriorating human rights situation in Sierra Leone as government forces continued to shoot at armless and defenceless protesters which is evident by the state-sponsored killings shown by the video footage presented to the ICC. This move made the ICC expedite swift response on the matter from the people of Sierra Leone. This development stunned and shocked many Sierra Leoneans who had a vail opinion that government officials are as above international law as Bio and his officials are currently under strict surveillance in the USA and will return to Sierra Leone only after he has provided satisfactory answers to the questions from the ICC prosecutor. Bio and his lawyer were the only persons allowed in the interrogation room whilst the rest of his entourage and supporters were banned from going too close to the interrogation process. The only person who was let free to go is David Sengeh who apparently is a US citizen.
