“Actionable and Implementable” the Watch Words for Tripartite: ECOMISIL’s Mission is to Install President-Elect Samura Kamara

The primary mission of the deployment of the ECOWAS Mission in Sierra Leone ECOMISIL is to practicalise the votes of the electorates in Sierra Leone.
The phrase ‘Actionable and Implementable’ has been over-used since the Tripartite Committee investigation was born. This phrase is Resolution 8 of the Tripartite Committee which also comprises Resolutions 1 to 7. All 8 Resolutions are important. But the most important ones are Resolution 3 and 4 and 8. Resolution 3 is about probing the June 24, 2023 elections and to carry out electoral reforms; Resolution 4 is the freeing of all political and electoral detainees and Resolution 8 is of course the actionable and implementable phase. Everyone seems to guess why the Economic Community of West Africa States ECOWAS has decided through the instructions of the United Nations Security Council to deploy ECOMISIL Troops in Freetown and also deploy Standby Military Forces in Lungi. One school of thought especially supporters of the SLPP regime say the forces are coming to protect Julius Maada Bio’s fragile regime. The other school of thought believe the forces are coming to restore Electoral Justice by implementing the Tripartite Committee recommendations in full.
The latter view is more appropriate. After the six months investigations by the three-party investigations namely SLPP, APC, and Global Partners, Resolution 8 became the final part to complete the recommendations agreed upon. Resolution 8 is the Actionable and Implementable stage which is the integral part to conclude the Tripartite Committee process. That is why the Security Council has ordered ECOWAS leaders to monitor and supervise the full implementation of the recommendations i.e. 80 Electoral Reforms and the 5 Contentious Issues, otherwise known as Electoral Justice. (Photo: Maada Bio and Dr Samura Kamara).

To fully implement the Tripartite Committee recommendations including the 80 Electoral Reforms agreed upon by SLPP and APC and the 5 Contentious Issues also known as Electoral Justice, this can only be possible if the primary mission of the ECOWAS Mission Sierra Leone ECOMISIL is put into practice. Political observers believe when the Standby Forces arrive in Lungi and the ECOMISIL troops land in the capital Freetown next month that would be the beginning of freedom and democracy for the suffering and impoverish people of Sierra Leone.
It would be the time the people of Sierra Leone who have been subjected to humiliation and harassment and heinous crimes in the last six terrible years of Maada Bio’s SLPP maladministration would realise the significance of their priceless votes they cast on June 24, 2023 general and presidential elections. Highly placed sources in Abuja, the headquarters of ECOWAS, have intimated that the arrival of ECOMISIL soldiers and military police and medics is to install the President-Elect Dr Samura Kamara of the APC party who won the elections by netting 58.3% of the votes cast.
Reports say the ECOWAS Heads of States and their Chiefs of Defence Staff in the sub-region were concerned about the security situation in Sierra Leone before the main mission is to be adopted. What is the main mission of ECOMISIL? It is believed that the APC leader Dr Samura Kamara who was elected overwhelmingly by the electorates but was publicly robbed of his win by the illegal President Maada Bio would not only be installed as President but ECOMISIL also has the mandate to monitor his inauguration. ECOWAS knows that to achieve this historic inauguration amid the tense and unstable situation in Sierra Leone, they need to make sure that they do not put the cart before the horse. That is why the deployments of the 1,200 ECOMISIL troops in three sites in Freetown namely Murray Town/Aberdeen axis, Hastings Town and Kerry Town are put in place first to assure of total security for themselves and the people in the country. ECOWAS leaders are aware of the fact that the people would definitely jump to the streets to celebrate their arrival and this would make Maada Bio’s brutal security very angry might pounce.
Meanwhile, the doomsters and the doubters, especially the SLPP supporters and the traitorous APC Executives are secretly facing reality as they lose hope of any optimism that the illegitimate SLPP regime would continue in power post ECOMISIL deployment from September 15, 2024. They believe the ECOWAS mission in Sierra Leone has strict instructions to install the real winner. The 5,000 Standby Military Forces to be based at the Lungi Depot is slated to take care of the sub-region whenever democracy and constitutional rule are under threat. Electoral Justice will succeed in Sierra Leone and it will be a good precedent for other countries to emulate in the future.
