ECOWAS Leaders have Told Julius Maada Bio that Constitutional Order will be Restored to Sierra Leone Soon

News

23 December 2023

The message delivered yesterday to Maada Bio by ECOWAS through the Ghana President Nana Akufo-Addo and the Senegal President Macky Sall was clear.

The arrival of the high power delegation yesterday from the Economic Community of West African States ECOWAS has brought in a huge sigh of relief especially with the succinct message that the international community will restore constitutional rule. It clearly indicates that there is no constitutional rule in Sierra Leone today. Sources at Presidential Lodge confirmed that Maada Bio was left flabbergasted and shocked to hear the message from ECOWAS. Also, President Macky Sall of Senegal and President Addo sternly warned Maada Bio that he is responsible for the protection and security of Ernest Koroma and Dr Samura Kamara. (Photo: Maada Bio flanked by President Sall and President Addo, right, yesterday).

The ECOWAS leaders President Nana Akufo-Addo of Ghana and President Macky Sall of Senegal who led the delegation arrived in Freetown yesterday morning ostensibly to deliver the stern warning to Maada Bio from the ECOWAS Chairman President Ahmed Tinubu of Nigeria. The ECOWAS message to Maada Bio was simple and to the point i.e. to make sure that constitutional rule is restored and to make sure that nothing bad happens to house detained Ernest Koroma and Dr Samura Kamara. (Photo: President Sall welcomed by the illegal Vice President Juldeh Jalloh).

A competent source in Abuja, the ECOWAS Headquarters have confirmed to this newspaper that the delegation was urgently put in place to visit Sierra Leone following frightening reports about the security and safety of the former President Ernest Koroma and the APC leader Dr Samura Kamara. “We read reports about threats to the life of Ernest Koroma and the life of Dr Samura Kamara. We do not take anything for granted,” the source revealed. The source also revealed that the message for the restoration of constitutional rule to Sierra Leone is conspicuously on the card.

The arrival of the ECOWAS leaders is the best news for the majority of Sierra Leoneans who are yearning for the restoration of democracy. There is optimism that the Tripartite Investigations Committee being foot-dragged because of Maada Bio’s sly politics will go ahead and on time. Before departing Dakar, the Senegalese President Macky Sall tweeted that ECOWAS will restore constitutional rule to Sierra Leone. In French, President Sall made this sensational statement much to the delight of most citizens in and outside the country. (Photo: President Addo).

Last night, the ECOWAS delegation also visited the Femi Tunner residence of the besieged former President Koroma led by the Presidents of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo and the Senegalese President Macky Sall, as well as the ECOWAS Commission President and two of his Commissioners who also made the visits to Ernest Koroma’s Goderich premises in Freetown for a meeting. Behind closed doors the ECOWAS delegation briefed Ernest Koroma the main purpose of their visit in Sierra Leone. It was a successful visit by ECOWAS yesterday especially for the majority of suffering Sierra Leoneans who are praying for democracy.

Also in the high power delegation to Sierra Leone, include the ECOWAS Commission President Omar Touray and ECOWAS Commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace, and Security Abdel Fatau-Musah. Sources say there is hope for return to constitutionality in the aftermath of this historic. The same happened in the dying days of the former Gambian President Yahya Jammeh who eventually went to Equatorial Guinea. Is history repeating itself in Sierra Leone? President Macky Sall’s tweet about restoration of constitutionality is a step in the right direction.

Even though the illegal SLPP regime is playing down the significance of the ECOWAS visit, there is definitely a breath of fresh on the horizon to protect democracy and the rule of law. This is the first time ECOWAS leaders have sternly warned the illegitimate Sierra Leone President Bio to be extremely cautious in the ongoing investigations and to offer full protection for the former President Ernest Bai Koroma and the APC leader Dr Samura Kamara. The constitutional rule restoration was what shocked Maada Bio into smithereens.

UN Appearance Means Zero; The Bios’ Illegality Remains at the UN; Brutes Like Gaddafi Spoke at the UN; Next Minute He was Killed; Sierra Leoneans, Don’t Worry

The United Nations is designed to always allow every Jack and Jill in its midst; dictators, tyrants, despots, killers, evil forces, often attend, but their hatred & illegitimacy still remain. Bloodthirsty and illegal President Julius Maada Bio and his mob-justice wife, Fatima Jabbe Bio, are classic examples of dictators known to member states of the United Nations and the world. But as the UN never bans tyrants, the Bios can still appear, but it makes no difference at all. Honest history has taught us one salient fact about attendees at the United Nations General Assembly. Not everyone who attends or addresses the UN General Assembly summit is loved or recognised as legitimate, democratic or a decent human being. Despite the immense freedom to attend the UN, many world leaders are reluctant to appear at the UN summit in New York for security reasons, mainly. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda, President Vladimir Putin, and Kim Jong-Un of North Korea are examples.

Marathon Race Ends Soon: New ECOWAS President General Diop from Senegal Takes Over from Gambian Traitor Touray; Real Work Began Yesterday

The real work of the newly refreshed Economic Community of West African States ECOWAS has commenced following the official handing over yesterday in Abuja. It was a milestone for West Africans and the world yesterday to witness the handover of power from the Gambian traitor, Dr Omar Alieu Touray, to General Birame Diop at the new ECOWAS Commission Headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria. The Commission held the formal welcome and send-off ceremony for incoming and outgoing statutory appointees and Heads of ECOWAS Institutions, following the completion of the former leadership’s four-year tenure. It was during the historic event that General Birame DIOP of Senegal officially assumed office as the new President of the ECOWAS Commission, amid applause, succeeding Dr Omar Alieu Touray of The Gambia. Since President Bassirou Faye of Senegal succeeded the useless, unfit, and illegal Sierra Leone President Julius Maada Bio as ECOWAS chair on July 19, 2026, in Lungi, Sierra Leone, very little has been done to move the rejuvenated ECOWAS forward.
