Yesterday, as news spread around the world that a ship containing a new consignment of drugs had been captured in Germany, keen political observers knew that the seized ship must have originated from Sierra Leone in West Africa. (Photo: Germany seized a drug ship from Freetown).

A few hours later, the information was confirmed that indeed, without a shadow of a doubt, 100%, that the ship containing drugs valued at 500 Million Euros departed from Sierra Leone, where the king of cocaine in West Africa, Bio, had transformed his country into a narco-state.

According to Bloomberg, Germany seized 8 tons of cocaine disguised as cocoa worth €500. Crime Intel World reported that German customs seized the cocaine hidden in over 400 black plastic-wrapped packages, each containing about 20 compressed blocks.

“The illicit shipment was intercepted after x-ray scanning revealed container irregularities. But the container was then sent onward to its declared destination in Barcelona under controlled circumstances, leading to the arrest of two suspected organisers in El Ejido, Spain.

“Sources say those arrested included a company executive with links to previous shipments. Europol reports and other recent seizures confirm traffickers are using smaller ports to bypass tighter controls at major European harbours, routing from Latin America via West Africa. Competent sources have also confirmed that this ship was being monitored in February 2026, and since then, a thorough investigation has been going on to authenticate the departure and destination of the ship. Finally, it was seized this week after its place of origin was unearthed.

This is obviously fantastic news for the restoration of democracy in Sierra Leone, wanted by the majority of citizens who voted out Bio in the June 24, 2023, elections. The narco-state status of Sierra Leone is official after the Bio presidency, protecting Europe’s most wanted drug fugitive, Dutch national Joseph Liejdekker, who had started exporting drugs to neighbouring countries, first in Guinea, by Sierra Leone ambassador Alimamy Bangura.

Next on the list was Liberia, where several smugglers and vehicles had been apprehended at the Sierra Leone and Liberia border in the past. Impeccable sources say the Liberian authorities are collaborating with Maada Bio to narcotise the region.

Then Bio and his son-in-law, Jos Leijdekker supported by key stakeholders in Sierra Leone, went on to smuggle cocaine outside West Africa into Europe. Liverpool and Scotland had their own share, and recently, Spain seized 40 tons, the highest in Spanish history.

Sierra Leoneans are at this juncture calling on the international community to remove the Bio presidency instantly and replace him with the authentic winner of the 2023 elections, Dr Samura Kamara. This is the only solution to get rid of the drug trade in West Africa.
